*Ruby's POV*
*2 days later*
I handed my boarding pass to the cute flight attendant and he directed me to my seat. I sat down and thanked him, and he smiled in return, showing off his pearly whites. My face probably turned 4 different shades of red. Smooth Ruby, smooth.
"Let me know if you need anything. I'm Keaton." he winked and sauntered away.
Well, that was interesting. I got out my phone, tapped the music app and scrolled down to my "relax playlist." It had a good mix of music; some Maroon 5, some Amy Winehouse, Bruno Mars, Conor Maynard, John Grogan, Michael Buble, a little Olly Murs, and an unhealthy amount of Ed Sheeran.
I grabbed my purple Beats headphones that I'd bought a while ago before he ruined my life, and slid them over my ears. The music was soothing, and combined with the fact that I was headed to Ireland to see my family after the disaster, I probably should have felt happy. But I couldn't shake the anxiety that I'd been feeling since the past few days. Something was going to happen, for the better or for the worse, I didn't know.
*Niall's POV*
Tracy had promised that she would call as soon as she figured out where Ruby lived, but that was 2 days ago and I was starting to lose hope. I walked back inside Harry's flat, where he was hosting a party. Red solo cups littered the kitchen and the entire place smelled like vodka. A drunk Louis stumbled over and offered me a beer. I shook my head, and walked away when he tried asking me what was wrong. I couldn’t take it any longer. I had to find out where Ruby lived. I had t go find her and apologize to her for all of the hatred she'd gotten because of me.
I grabbed my coat and ran out into the frigid London air. I fumbled around in my coat and finaly grabbed my phone and called Tracy.
"Hello?" a groggy sounding Tracy answered the phone. Oh crap. I realized that it was 1 am and she was probaby asleep, until I woke her up, that is.
"Hey Trace. Sorry for waking you up, but I was just wondering if you had any news on Ruby's whereabouts?" I asked, hating how I sounded desperate and needy, but I couldn’t help it, I needed to find Ruby.
It took Tracy a few seconds to register what I was saying, she was probably still half asleep. "Actually, yeah. I found out through her private Facebook profile, that I managed to hack," she mumbled, "that she's in Ireland right now- Dublin to be exact. Uh, it says that she's visiting family, yada yada…and that she's staying at 13742 King's Road. But Niall, I think that I ought to warn you that she may have already left, so just don’t get your hopes too high." she added.
"Tracy, I owe you big time. Thanks." I said, ignoring the last part of what she said. I wanted to hop on a flight to Ireland right this moment, but I couldn’t just leave England on a whim. The soonest that I'd be able to go was in a week, when the boys and I got 3 weeks off for Christmas and New Years.
I ran back to Harry's flat, grabbing his laptop off the kitchen counter and I locked myself into one of his empty guest bedrooms. I logged on, typing in Harry's genius password, harry_styles. A screen with his email account popped up, as well as his twitter and facebook profiles. I shook my head and chuckled, thinking of what would happen if a Directioner got her hands on his laptop.
A half an hour later, I'd bought myself a plane ticket to Dublin, and a railway pass from there to Mullingar, where I would spend the holidays with my family. I looked at the time, it was 2:30 in the morning and I finally realized how exhausted I was. With a yawn escaping my lips, I shut off the laptop and laid down in the comfy bed. Before I slipped into unconsciousness, my brain was able to scramble together one thought: I couldn’t wait to meet Ruby.
