Where am I?

The first thing noticed was the dingy smell.

Yuck! I nearly belched at the smell. The more I breathe in, the more I feel like I'm gonna puke any second now.

Too late, the familiar burns in my throat and the taste of puke stayed on my tongue. I could feel my eyes tear up at the excruciating feeling and the lack of breath.

 I cried . . .

— Unnaturally obnoxiously loud, might I add.

What . . . ?

A soft, female voice shushed me and cried to herself, even though her shushing me while crying doesn't work well. I could feel her tears touching against my cheek and sobbed quietly into me.

 "I don't know what I'm doing, baby..."

I blinked, suddenly lost the mood to cry. What in the lovable fluff is she saying?

But she sounded so sad. I tried turning my head but I felt like my head is too heavy.

Strange.

But I did my best, so I turned my body first so that this woman holding me could turn my body around since I'm incapable of doing it on my own.

And boy, oh boy, did I turn around.

She has this beautiful pink eyes that looked lost, out of hope, full of tears, and looked absolutely broken. It looked like they were glowing for some reason. I tried touching her cheek for comfort or something to soothe her.

— weird thing is, a small hand entered my field of vision and touched her skin.

An, even more, weirder thing is, I actually felt the skin on her face; dirty and sticky, from all that blood and sweat.

Oh my gosh . . .

Am I a baby now?!

I felt like I was ready to scream and cry and I was about to and then I saw that alarmed look on the lady's face. She pushed my body to her neck, shaking and quivering as she tightly held me against her neck. She smelled even more sweaty and had dried blood against her skin with a small hint of some kind of herbal medicine (?) from her, I don't know what color, hair.

[WARNING]

! Something is approaching. Remain silent. !

 Ayo— what . . .

I waited for a moment. What's approaching? I waited, waited, and waited—

 And then I felt it—

The heavy sinking feeling in my chest, almost as if my heart dropped. I could feel the pressure sinking into me. This was no matter to joke about. The woman whose arms wrapped around my tiny little body let out a small sob.

I had noticed there were others too, who had wrapped themselves with their own arms while shivering, letting out a loud sob, a wheeze or heavy gasp. Apart from the continuous dripping of water from the ceiling, everything reeked of fear.

A low, husky, guttural chuckle echoed from the entrance where a large shadow casted.

"Whose lucky day shall it be?" The same voice said, its voice sending shivers down my spine. It laughed, as if fascinated by its own words. The woman who held me in her arms started caressing my small, chubby arms.

I could hear shuffling and then the voice had said to someone,

"You've done well today, Alatus—" Alatus? "—You can go do what you want. I'll expect you at the same time tomorrow."

"You're too gracious, my Lord." The familiarity of this voice pricked at my gut.

I know this voice...

"Here, before I forget—", A toss of a bag was thrown and a thump was heard, "Your earnings for today..." It was said in a cold manner. The boy had no problem replying, "Thank you, my Lord."

There had been a full-on conversation and I had no clue what they were saying at all. It sounded like a language I've never heard of before.

"You there!" The voice exclaimed as the people flinched and cowered, their feet pushing against the dirty floor below, "Let's see how well you do this time..."

A plethora? —no, maybe two or three mutters of 'no's' had replied, the only thing I could understand and then dragging of feet and shouts of protest had filled the cave with noise that made me want to cover my ears. It hurts so much!

"Shh..." The same familiar voice hushed as unfamiliar rough hands covered my ears. This voice again... "It's alright, big brother is here..."

I felt a pair of arms pick me up from my mother (I think) and wrapped my small arms around his neck.

Thanks for calming me down sir, but I still don't know what the hell you're saying.

He reeked of blood and sweat among other things, a scent I'm not very fond of but hey, I don't think everyone likes these kinds of things but that wasn't the point. I think I saw writing on his neck? It looked hastily tattooed but I think I can still make it out.

Wait a minute... This looks familiar too! Inverted gothic font— I've seen this before! Once in a website of a game I was really into— more like obsessed with (It's a good game!) — they say it was that game's 'language'.

Alatus, I read.

Isn't this Teyvatian?

All of a sudden, a grey translucent screen appeared in front of my eyes.

Huh?

I tried looking around but it seemed to me that no one can't see this. Strange.

I tried reading it and yes, it definitely was a language that I was very much familiar with but—

| Answer |

Correct. The written language is [Teyvat]. Pay One Hundred (100) [Genesis Crystals] for full fluency for the language, [Teyvat]?

(Currently Remaining [Genesis Crystals]: 1000)

[YES] or [NO]

What? Genesis Crystals? Teyvat?

Wait, what the hell?

I know this font and color scheme— Isn't this... Genshin Impact?!
