—The Qingxin flower was rare to come by around these parts of Teyvat. How Alatus managed to come across one, I did not know.
I don't know how this world works right now. It's messing with my head. I'm not even joking.
'We're in Dragonspine, how did you get that?' my face practically said all of that. Alatus took a look at my face and laughed. Am I really that obvious?
The cyan-eyed boy twirled the slightly dying flower in his bandaged fingers, eying it in a daze.
He looked really beautiful, hands down. Words can't explain how beautiful he is.
I have been checking the time limit to my ascension. I could track how old I was after the first time I checked it. Since then, I think I'm a few months old.
I could barely lift my head the first time I was aware that I am in this world but now, I could but with a little bit of supervision. I could turn my head around and saw Alatus looking very happy, clapping his bandaged hands. I couldn't help but smile and I watched as he smiled at me widely, sending kisses to my head. I could babble a bit better without being tired. I tried my best not to cry when I'm hungry. Both of them were equally tired of getting food for me so I did what I can at least do.
Alcyone wasn't the one holding me for now, Alatus was. She left to do a bit of the chore that needed to be done in the cave we're in but she was still in eyesight, scrubbing a bit of the smooth wall that had a bit of blood. I don't know where that came from, I was asleep.
It was just me, Alatus, and Alcyone in that one part of the cave. No one had the will to be in the same room as us but we didn't mind.
Alcyone insisted that Alatus should get some rest after days of grueling work. What kind of work. I still don't know, something involved him with a lot of beating. Alatus didn't even reject the offer of rest, immediately slumping down and sitting against the wall, breathing a sigh of relief.
Modern-day Xiao was an excellent fighter, adept in speed and the power of the polearm. I'd think he was training for something, the Archon War, perhaps.
I unconsciously bit my lip at the thought. After all, who in the right mind would send a child to war? Apparently, Morpheus did.
"Ah, ah, ah—", Alatus said out loud, a bandaged hand gently wrapping around my hand that was going to straight into my mouth. I blinked, I didn't notice that at all. Sometimes I forget I'm actually a literal months old baby.
I furrowed my eyebrows and looked in his direction, trying to look intimidating as possible. Alatus laughed at me, stroking my head as he did so. Babies don't look intimidating after all.
"Where did you get the flower, Alatus?" Alcyone asked, wringing out a wet, worn-out cloth. She had changed into more concealing clothes; a thin, dirty shirt and a pair of ripped harem pants. She was also barefoot but she didn't seem to be bothered with it. She still kept her old clothes though.
Alatus hummed, "Those people in white and masks dropped one when they left," he said, "one of them noticed that they dropped one but they immediately left when they saw me pick it up." He shrugged, completely unbothered by it.
What people in white?
"Healers," Alcyone corrected, "Those people in white are healers."
"Yeah, sure." Alatus scoffed, looking at his poorly bandaged arms. "Them."
Alcyone shook her head.
Enough of that. Who is this person they talking about? I can't believe they had the audacity to reject one of the prettiest men in Genshin.
