"C-come on guys," Mr Hans our math teacher said folding his hands. The whole class had refused to settle down. People were still chatting away with their friends, a few goofballs threw paper planes across the classrooms and others hunched over their eyes glued to their phone's screen.
Everyone was occupied except me, I sat down at the front row in class all by myself. My mind was still thinking about what had transpired in the hallway. It was evident that I needed the Devil's Order in my life.
I didn't care what I had to lose, my life needed to be sorted out right now. I took in a deep breath. It was settled then, I'm going to join the Devil's Order. I didn't have a chance though, it was either I die or join the group.
But the hard part was killing six different people. I already had Frederick in my mind, but I was scared. The dude is bigger than I am. I'm Jack and he's the freaking Giant.
"Mr Anchor, may I know why you're late to class?" Mr Hans asked as Frederick bounded into class grinning like a monkey.
"Huh?" Frederick looked at Mr Hans. "Car trouble sir."
Mr Hans rolled his eyes because he knew Frederick was lying. "Take a seat."
Frederick took a small glance around the classroom. There wasn't a free space except for a seat beside me, he shrugged and sat beside me.
I looked at him and he looked back still grinning. "What's up Nerd?"
I didn't reply to him, if all went as planned today, Frederick would be dead in a few hours.
"Okay everyone," Mr Hans was saying his arms at his back. He had a weird grin on his face, he always smiled like that when he wanted to give a test or ask a really hard question. "Who can solve this question."
He proceeded to the board and scribbled away. After a while, he stepped aside allowing most of us to see the question.
I peered through my glasses at the question. It was a word problem question, it involved a simultaneous equation.
People scratched their heads and asked each other questions, I sighed, I was the only one who knew how to solve the question, but I didn't want to answer.
As I sat on my chair quietly, Frederick kicked my chair startling me.
"What the hell man?" I snap.
"Shut up dude," Frederick said in a low tone. "Now you and I both know that you already got the answer to the question."
I frown at him. "Why do you think that?"
Frederick gives me a look. "Because you're a fucking nerd. Now go up there and solve the question."
I summon up the courage to utter my next sentence. "Why don't you do it yourself? Or are you just stupid or you don't know math, because you're a dumb motherfucker."
I say this a little bit loud and the whole class hears. Everyone gasped and stared. Including Mr Hans. "Now Chad, don't start. . ."
Frederick interrupts him. "You got balls Chad." He stood up.
I didn't know why I didn't stop. "Just two," I say.
Frederick's huge fist connected with my face sending me flying into Jason who sat down beside me.
We both crash to the ground which sent the whole class on their feet cheering.
"Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!"
Mr Hans was shouting something but his voice was drowned by the uproar of the students.
Jason stood me up. "Chad what are you doing man?"
