I stared at Frederick's lifeless body. This was the second time I was seeing a dead body.
I swallowed hard and my body shook hard, I had just taken someone's life.
But then a smile broke across my face, the dude got what he deserved. I hope he rots in hell.
I bent over his body and pulled the blade out. Blood was smeared on it and it looked like it had dried on it. To confirm this, I ran my hand across the blade. Yes, Frederick's blood had been glued to the blade.
I stood up, one down, five more to go. I returned the Oethcyte into the box and walked to the door.
I turned back to Frederick's body, sooner or later someone would find his body and then everyone would know. At least I did this school a favour.
The toilet door burst open and Matt, one of Frederick's goons walked in.
His eyes widened in horror once he saw Frederick lying in a pool of blood.
"What the fuck!!" He cried.
I sighed and pulled out the Oethcyte. He looked at me, "Did you kill him Chad?" He asked.
"Yes, and now I'll have to kill you too." Matt opened his mouth to talk but stopped when I dashed at him and plunged the Oethcyte deep into his eye.
He fell to the ground and lay there motionless. I stared at him and decided to make sure he was dead.
I removed the Oethcyte from his eye and stabbed his chest multiple times until I checked for a pulse and there wasn't.
"Four to go," I grin. This was kind of easy.
I stepped out into the empty hallway. People were still in the cafeteria for lunch, I chuckled and walked away.
I only walked a few feet when I heard Vice-principal Damien call my name. "Chad Jackman!!"
I spun around and see VP Damien standing in front of his office, he gestured inside. "May I have a word with you?"
I gulp, had VP Damien seen the dead bodies already?
I walk into his office and he shuts the door. "Sit down please," he tells me and I do so.
His office was by far the best in the school, it was spacious and his huge table stood at the end of the room. Awards and trophies were lined up on one side of the room and pictures of people I didn't know on the other side.
He eased himself onto his chair. "How are you doing today Chad Jackman?"
"I'm fine," I say shuddering. "And it's Unger, not Jackman."
He raises an eyebrow and raises a file. My file. "It says otherwise here."
"Yeah, but I'd like to be called Chad Unger, and not Jackman please," I say.
VP Damien nods. "That's why I called you here, to discuss the issues with your name."
I breathed a sigh of relief. Thank God, he hadn't seen the dead bodies. I was off the hook. And it was a good thing that our school didn't have CCTV cameras.
"Now Chad," VP Damien was saying. "You are currently living a double life, Chad Unger and Chad Jackman.
"Your school file here has Jackman as your last name, but in other records such as class and stuff you registered yourself as Chad Unger."
I shuffle my feet. "So what do you want me to do?"
"I'd like you to choose one of the two,"
I shrugged. "I'd choose Unger."
Damien sighed. "You see that's the problem right there, your mother married again right?"
I nod my head.
"And then your last name was changed," said Damien. "So till you're eighteen, when you're able to change your name you will be Chad Jackman."
"But you said I could choose between the two," I protested.
Damien found this amusing. "I just wanted to make this conversation longer."
I stare at him, this was beyond awkward. After catching Damien staring at me this morning it was very clear that something was wrong with him.
"Can I go now?" I ask. "I haven't eaten."
Damien waves his hand. "Don't worry about food, I have another important thing to discuss."
"Oh yeah? What is it?"
"The SAM club," Damien said. "It's being disbanded."
My eyes grew wide. "What- why?"
"Isn't it obvious?" Damien asks. "No one is interested in the club anymore. Club meeting attendances are down eighty per cent."
I swallowed. This wasn't happening, was it.
Damien sighed. "The club isn't like it used to be before, I'm sorry Chad."
I nod my head. "Can I go?"
"Yeah,"
I grab my bag and stood up. "Chad? Hold on!" Damien stopped me.
"What is it?"
Damien stood up and sat on his oak table. "Can I ask you a question?"
My stomach rumbled. "Sure,"
"Why did you kill Frederick and Matt?"
