It was awkward walking with him. He was so quiet and he always made sure he was at least two steps in front of you.

"Ya know... you never told me your name."

"Does it matter?," he sighs out.

"Hmm? Well since your a complete stranger taking me to an undisclosed location, it would perhaps be beneficial for me to at least know your name."

"Levi."

"Ok levi and where are we going?"

"Stop talking to me."

"Me-ow. Someone's catty," you tease.

"Are you done?"

"Almost, do you know where we are?"

"You're kidding?" He stops and turns around causing you to bump into his chest. "You don't even know where you are?"

"Hey! I've just never been very good with directions ok!"

You heard him kiss the back of his teeth. He does that a lot, you thought to yourself.

"Well dumbass, we're in north bend. The base is in the Forrest on mount Si."

"I knew I was still in Washington!," you let out in an exasperated pout.

"And you're so upset because?"

"I've been trying to head south to California. I want to see a warm beach. At least before I die."

Levi was silent for a moment before he turned around and started walking again. He could hear the quick shuffle of your feet trying to catch up to his. "You shouldn't think like that. Shit like that will get you killed out here."

"What having dreams?"

"No, hope that you'll do something before you die. You have to live in the moment or else the moment you get to comfortable with that dream, it's gone just like that."

"Wow... you are angsty! We have gotta work on your attitude Levi!"

There was again. A quiet tsk on the lips. He just kept thinking how naive you were. You've probably been by yourself this whole time. M

But he was wrong. He didn't know if the loss you experienced and the horrors that haunt you at night. You swore someone you wouldn't let it change your perspective on life.

"Levi look! A truck!"

He follower your pointed finger to a dusty orange pickup in the grass next to the road. The car didn't seem badly damaged either.

You ran over to the car with Levi hollering a "slow down!" And "be more careful!"

"Oh hush! I'm not an idiot Levi!"

You approached the truck and did a distanced 360 around the truck. Levi followed in behind by leaning up to the windows to find that their weren't any walkers. Shit how'd they get so lucky, he thought to himself.

Setting your backpack down, you unzip it pull out one of your Bobby pins. He watches as you kneel in front of the cars key hole and started picking at it with the clip.

"Almost...got it... there!" The door popped unlocked and you opened the door and hopped in the driver seat.

"What are you doing?," he asks.

"I'm driving?"

"Do you know how to Hotwire a car?"

He washed as you pursed your lips at him in annoyance. "Fine. You do it then."

You scooted over in the leather seat as he climbed in. He closed the door and started grabbing at the wires near the gas pedal. You watched it spark a few times before it roared to life.

You looked over excited to see that the tank was about 3/4 of the way full. Before you're able to get your seatbelt on Levi is already pulling out of the grass and back on to the road. He watches as your curiously open the glove box and start flipping through old cds.

You flip one into your lap and shove the rest of them into your bag and open the cover. Music starts playing through the speakers once you pop in the cd and turn up the volume.

He felt himself give a small smirk I saw you clapping to the beat and singing along with all your heart.

As the two of you continued your journey to Levi's base camp, you watched the city fade from view. The car was weaving around abandoned cars and bodies going through the Forrest. You all were almost to the top of the mountain when large spiked logs making a fence appeared.

The car slowed to a stop and you watched in fear as two men leaned over the top of the wall with guns pointed at your vehicle.

Levi sticks his head out the window and pats the top of the car three times signaling for them to hurry the fuck up. After seeing the man the gate slowly starts to part enough for Levi to drive the car the rest of the way in.

Once inside he parks the car in the grass. You're eye watered at the sight before you. It was large cabin and it was lit up through the windows.

"How?! How do you guys have power?!," you scream.

"We have a smart idiot and a smart kid who figured out how to use solar panels. Only sucks cause it doesn't always work when it's raining."

A group of young teenagers runs up to the pair.

"Oi levi! Did you find a stray?," a boy with light brown hair and an undercut calls out.

"She was an EMT."

"No way! You found a doctor!?," a blonde boy with bright blue eyes says looking at you.

"I'm not a licensed doctor! But I did go to medical school!," you say putting your hands up in defense. 

"Whatever! At least it's something! I'm Sasha! This egg head is Connie, then Jean, Armin, Mikasa, and Eren," she said pointing to others of the group.

"I'm y/n." Levi stopped unloading the truck. He never did think to ask you your name.

"Come on, you need to meet Erwin and shitty glasses." You look over your shoulder to see him walking up the porch stairs. Your feet race up the steps taking two at a time to meet him at the top. He enters first and you follow close behind. The cabin was spacious and had a large living room with a fire place. In the extra space there, we're extra tables with chairs to accommodate people.

Levi turned a corner and started a quick pace up the stairs. You were out of breath by the time you reached the top. He stopped once he reached a closed door. Instead of knocking he just swings it open and steps inside the room, leaving you alone in the hallways.

You hear his deep voice say, "I found a medic."

You wait a beat before your interrupted by tan arms grabbing your wrist and dragging you in the room.

"Welcome! Awe she's as cute as a little lamb!," a woman with glasses and a messy brown ponytail exclaims.

There's a tall blonde man standing behind a desk and he steps around and places a large hand on the woman's shoulder. "Hanji, give the girl some space."

"Yeah and stop being a creep," Levi spits out.

"So... you have experience in medicine?," the blonde man asks.

"Y-yes. I was an EMT for 2 years in Seattle."

"So do you think you can provide medical care here to others?," he questions back raising an eyebrow.

"I believe so."

He thinks for a moment before he smiles and extends his hand out for a shake, "Well welcome to the scouts. It's great to have you."

The scouts huh, you thought.
