Character 3: Amber, the shadow. Between 14 and 17 years old, genderfluid, and not very sane.

Character's appearance:

Amber has skin the colour of toffee, amber eyes, sharp cheekbones, chocolate brown hair, and is extremely skinny under the strange, hooded garments they always wear. He has lots of scars of varying size and shape and deepness, especially on the arms, some of them spelling out words like 'crazy', 'insane', 'psycho', or even people's names. She has a large scar running from just above her left eyebrow to the tip of their lips, going through their left eye and giving a sinister effect.

Their clothes are often dotted with suspicious red stains.

Character's speech and behaviour

Amber doesn't have a set home; they move from one town to another every few months. In each town, she has been seen stalking around the streets, glaring at everyone who looks at him. Whenever someone stops to make conversation with Amber, they are never seen again. Usually the only time he talks is before he kills someone. His preferred weapon is a knife, a delicate blade resembling the shape of a broadsword, but smaller and shorter.
Amber usually only speaks just before they kill their next victim. Whenever he talks, it is usually in a casual manner, but with an edge to it, making the person uncomfortable, and wary.

Backstory:

Amber has a strange condition which means she doesn't feel any physical pain. As a child, he fell over and broke his arm, but felt no pain and didn't realise it. She would torture animals and sometimes kill them. Her abusive mother thought they were such a freak that she abandoned him in a forest at the age of five. A rustic family attempted to take her in, but after a while, obeying the voices in their head, he stole a butcher's knife from their kitchen and slit all of their throats. That was his first weapon. Amber craved physical pain so much that at the age of five, he became a murderer. If she couldn't feel it, she'll make someone feel it for her. He made a bow from a chestnut tree, stole a quiver if arrows from a shop, and taught themself how to use it. She lived in the forest for afew weeks living off deer and game they'd shot, gathered plants and fruits and various other things. He then moved into a town he had come across, taking residence in an abandoned house which was said to be haunted. While stealing fruit from the market one day, she was approached by a woman who kept asking questions. He was becoming increasingly annoyed and eventually she dragged her into an alley and slit her throat. They were so scared by their own actions, afraid they were going crazy (which they obviously were), that they ran away from that town and didn't settle anywhere for the next few months. The next town they settled in, they were trying to stay sane and didn't kill anyone, but the same cannot be said for the next one. Amber was jumped by a man but defended herself and killed him. A girl about his age (take note, this is all when he was about 7) was getting in his nerves and he killed her, drawing it out painfully. They finally accepted that he was insane and carved the word 'psycho' on his thigh, along with various lines upon the rest of his body. She then roamed from town to town, murdering anyone who spoke to him. At around 12, he thought he might as well finish what he started, and travelled across the country to find his parents. He found them in the same house he had spent his childhood in, he told them he had come to avenge what they had done, and then killed them slowly and painfully, writing messages on the walls with their blood.

Character's thoughts and feelings

Amber's thoughts are muddled, a competition of many voices trying to drown each other out. He often doesn't know which to obey and does things very contradictory to each other. The voice of sanity is barely there after all these years.
Yes, Amber has feelings, but most are buried so deep down inside his soul that there might as well be none. The few emotions she lets themself feel are often not in his control. He doesn't try to figure the rest out.

Reactions of other characters about the character

Most people who see Amber are intimidated by the red marks on their clothing, limited facial expressions, and her general manner, and stay away. Sometimes people would stop to talk, asking her where her family was, if she was alright, things along those lines. If those people didn't go away fast enough, Amber would dispose of them.
