''Have we met before?''
The girl's eyebrows drew together and her face glinted. She leaned forward with a loving stare, and Jungkook's eyes lit up at that action.
She knew him.
''No, I don't think so'' she replied with an apologetic tone.
And just like that she shattered any hope left inside him. It felt as if someone had kicked all the air out, he was struggling to breathe.
The rain got impossibly heavy and Jungkook thought that maybe the clouds were crying for him.
Her denying the possibility of them knowing each other felt like a punch into his stomach, it hurt so much.
Her words were like daggers sent to his heart. Forgotten wounds started to bleed again, spreading pain and agony through his body.
She looked at him, and the weight of her stare, filled his injuries, cutting them deeper, nearly breaking his heart and everything that it carried. The light that was once shining inside him slipped through the scars -illuminating the sky- and leaving him in the darkness.
Jungkook was lost, he didn't know what to say or do. He didn't expect that answer, heck he didn't even expect to ask that question in the first place.
What was he supposed to do now? Walk away as if nothing happened? He couldn't do that.
So he just stood there -frozen and perplexed- looking around embarrassingly and letting the rain soak him from head to toe.
The girl fidgeted with her hands and broke the silence.''So...I need to take the train.'' she said pointing at the vehicle that could barely be seen under the storm. ''Excuse me'' she added before bowing down.
Jungkook panicked and started bowing down as well. ''Do-don't apologize. Um..Sorry for stopping you.''
She smiled at his actions and sweetly spoke. ''Don't worry, it's all right.'' she then lifted her hand and did an ok hand gesture.''You must have confused me with someone'' she added with a little giggle.
Did he?
Jungkook felt his cheeks get hot and he thank the mask for covering his stupid grin. He didn't know what to reply so he just waved his hand in a tiny movement and the girl mimicked his gesture. ''Bye, take care!''
And just like that, she left. Jungkook could do nothing to stop her.
She walked through the storm like a rain fairy, the clouds were guiding her like a fragile marionette. The moonlight reflected into her white dress and she shone under the night.
Raindrops came down slowly, as if they didn't want to hurt her. He watched how the water surrounded her delicate body and accompanied her with every step she took, protecting and hugging her form. It seemed like it was barely raining around her, as if only a couple of spring droplets had fallen to kiss her skin.
