~~Nano's POV~~

I heard crashes from downstairs. Climbing out of my bed, I groggily stumbled down my stairs and out the tower door, grabbing my jetpack off it's hook as I went. I threw the jetpack over my head, and soared to the sorting machine room, to find a black faced LaIna sprawled on the wall, blood slowly pouring from a wound. That snapped me awake. I sprinted over, and grabbed the emergency bandages that I kept on me, wrapping then tightly around his arm. He was knocked unconscious, so he felt no pain. I was glad to that. I lugged his heavy body out through the castle and onto the highest rooftop. Just as we landed, LaIna regained his consciousness.

"Hey LaIna" I spoke softly, as not to startle him.

"Hey Nano" he replied turning to me. I laughed at his face - I had forgotten to scrub the ashes off. "Hold still, LaIna" I told him, using my flannel to scrub at the blackness. He chuckled and obliged, staying as still as possible. One I had finished, I flicked stray bits of hair out his face. We turned back to the sky. "It's so pretty out here" I spoke, softly sighing.

"Yeah it is. But not as pretty as you. " he shuffled closer to me, and put his arm round me. I leant in. I didn't care what people said. My mad scientist was sweet, and had a huge heart. We weren't dating, even though I wished we were. He was perfect - unlike me.

~~ LaIna's POV ~~

I held Kim tightly in my arms. If I wanted to tell her, now is the best time.

"Hey Kim."

"Yeah?"

"I like you"

'Well nah, we aren't best friends or anything.."

" I mean more than like-"

Kim turned to me putting a lip to her finger.

I removed her finger, and cupped her petite face.

"I love you" I whispered. Suddenly sparks flew and everything went perfectly. I had done it. I had kissed her.
