It was a cold day of November, but fortunately, I was working and warm. The day started being a usual one but shortly after I thought that, Gibbs appeared and yelled:

-Gear up! Dead marine in Maryland. -he said while arriving to the bullpen.

Bishop took her bag and went to the elevator. McGee was still packing his things because he had arrived late to the office. I picked my bag up and followed Gibbs.

-On your six boss! - I said.

-Me too! -said McGee almost missing the elevator.

Gibbs was driving, so we arrived to the crime scene in a blink. Although Gibbs drove really fast, Ducky and Palmer were already there. The scene was all covered in blood, it was a disgusting place. The victim was lying in the ground and it was visible that he had been killed by stabbing. I took some pictures of the scene and helped McGee with the evidences. Ducky and Palmer removed the body quickly from the place and departed to the base.

When we got back to the headquarters we had plenty of work to do. The victim was Private Ryan Northwood, a young marine that had only been in the NAVY for two years. He had no criminal record and he wasn't related to any band. We didn't find any reason why he got killed, so we investigated more deeply.

We discovered that his brother Matt, graduated with dishonor from the marines, had recently entered a band called "The deadly skulls" that aimed to end with other rival bands in western D.C. We thought that, that might have had something to do with Private Northwood's death. We put a bolo to find him because McGee and Bishop didn't find him at his house. There was nothing left to do so Gibbs let us go home. It had been a really busy day and I was eager to arrive home and sleep. But fait had other plans.

When I arrived to my apartment I found Zoe waiting for me in the couch. She was drinking tea and staring at me angrily., I couldn't understand the reason why she was doing that. I left my jacket on the chair and talked.

-Hey, something wrong? -I asked.

-Do you love me Tony?

-Wait, what? -I said, truly surprised- Why are you asking me this now?

I got nervous, and I didn't know why at the moment.

-Answer -she insisted -Do you love me?

-Um, yes, I do. -I said, not too convinced- But now you answer, why are you asking me this now?

-Just asking, pure curiosity.

I knew she was hiding something but I decided to leave her alone and go to sleep. Tomorrow would be a better day, I thought. Wasn't.
