Many years before...Venti's POV:
I was walking around Mondstadt, Lyre in hand, going to my normal spot to preform for the town in front of my statue. As I neared it, I couldn't help but notice a few people already gathering around watching something. Or someone...
I carefully pushed through the crowd and almost dropped my Lyre at what I saw. A girl with just passed the shoulder black hair, blue eyes, and fair skin, danced around the statue. Humming her own melody, looking happier then ever. That's when I got an idea. I stepped in, strumming my lyre, and she looked over to me. She instantly got the idea and danced to the tune that came from it.
The small crowd around us cheered when we stopped, and we finally looked at each other for the first time. "You guys were amazing!" Someone in the crowd said. Another one chimed in with "Wow! I wish I could dance like that!" We both said our thank you's and the crowd starting leaving. Going back to whatever they were doing. And before I knew it, it was just the two of us.
"So you're the famous bard from around here." The girl started, giving me a curious smile. "Oh! Yeah! The names Venti. Venti the Bard! And you are?" "The names Melodie. Melodie the Dancer."
Already the name felt like music to my ears. No pun intended, of course."Ehe. Lovely to meet you then Melodie! So what brings you to Mondstadt? I don't think I've seen you around before..." She giggled at first then replied. "I needed a new change of scenery from Liyue. It's beautiful there, truly! ...but I needed to expand my view. I also wanted to share my love of dancing across Teyvat! I love seeing everyone smile."
I could feel the happiness radiating off her. It was pretty adorable. "Being honest, I have no idea how to dance." I chuckled nervously, scratching the back of my head awkwardly. She let out a surprised gasp and stared at me blankly for a moment. "You don't know?! Didn't anyone ever teach you?" She asked, still in total surprise. I shook my head.
Suddenly, she grabbed my Hand and pulled me closer to her. "How about some lessons then?" She asked, returning to her happy smile. "Uh- sure?" I don't think I've ever been this nervous, and excited, ever. But what I did know now is, I was gonna learn how to Dance. At least a few simple moves so I probably wouldn't trip over my own two feet.
This should go well.
A/N: Hello everyone! I apologize for the Chapter being so short 😅 I was writing this over Winter Break but got busy over said break and forgot a bunch of the ideas I had in mind for it. Oops. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed! Also, happy new year! Hard to believe tomorrow is the first day of 2022 huh? Crazy... where did the time go? Anyway, again, hope you all enjoyed, and see you in the next chapter!
