Chapter 4: The Girls

I woke up the next morning, feeling very positive and ready for the day. I got out of bed, walked into my bathroom to take my hair out of a very messy top knot. My hair was still damp from my shower last night, so I got out my blow-dryer and blow dried my hair. This leaves my hair straight at the top and the very ends, wavy. I walked back into my room, placed my iPod onto my iHome and played Troye Sivans EP.  I opened the doors to my closet and picked out a white crop top, light pink high-waited shorts and black sandals. I walked back into my bathroom to do the same makeup look as yesterday, then went downstairs.

"Good morning, Caitlyn" my dad said suspiciously "Why did you come in so late last night?"

"Because I was at the movies..." Should I tell him about Cole? "With Cole Peters. And it was only 9:00 when he dropped me off." I say defensively.

"What's going on" my mom asks, entering the kitchen

"I went on a date with Cole, yesterday and something happened" I saw shyly "Is it bad if you have a crush on your childhood bully?"

"Um...well, has he changed for the better sense he left? Caitlyn, Cole has a lot of power over people and you know that." My mom informes me

"Yes, that's why I don't know what to do. Yesterday he told me that he has loved me since the 8th grade." I confess "Mom, what should I do?"

"do what you think is best for you, baby" my mom says lovingly. I nodded in response, considering all of my options.

"I'm going to be late for school." I said walking towards the door. As I grabbed my bag, my phone buzzed. I have a message from Tori:

Jessie and I are outside your house, need a ride to school? -T

Just about to leave, be out in 2 seconds -C

I checked my hair quickly, yelled the word BYE so the world knew I was leaving and opened the door. When I opened the door I saw Tori's Yellow 2014 Jeep that she got for her birthday. She was blasting Summer by Calvin Harris with all the windows rolled down. As I opened the door the first thing I heard was:

"TELL US EVERYTHING!!!!" Jessie was in the back seat, which is weird because the front seat is literally her baby.

"About what?" I asked, turning down the music

"Your date with Cole, obviously"  Tori said, matter of factly.

"Well yesterday I hated him, now I think I like him." I admit "He took me to his house and dumped a bucket of Gatorade on my head, he said he has loved him since 8th grade, we made out and went to my house. Then we talked about 'us', he asked me to the movies, I accepted, he brought me home and made out on my front porch. Any thing else you wanna know?" I teased.

"Wait, you made out with Cole Peters? AKA your childhood bully? Caitlyn, what the hell are you getting yourself into?" Jessie questioned

"I'm pretty sure I asked you the same question when you started going out with Hunter, Jessie"

We sat in silence until Stitches by Shawn Mendes came on, then we fangirled like crazy. I feel bad for the people beside us at red lights. Sorry Not Sorry.

We pulled up to school and we all looked for our boyfriends cars, well Cole isn't really my boyfriend. For now. I soon found his car, it's kind of hard to miss. Tori found a spot and we piled out of her jeep. Tori made her her way over to Matt while Jessie made her way over to Hunter. Matt and Tori look great together, Matt is tall, very tan and handsome and Tori is so gorgeous. She has brown hair that is down to her butt, she's skinny, with great legs. Hunter and Jessie are also amazing together. Hunter is tall, he has brown hair and is also attractive. Jessie is so stunning, she has long blonde hair, braces, she's skinny and has great abs. I would love to be as skinny as they are but I'm in a steady relationship with pizza. I should probably break up with pizza. I made my way over to my... Special Friend, I guess. I plan to confront him about this later, for now I greet him as my boyfriend, I think.

"Hey, Peters" I said, smirking. Cole turned around and smiled at me. He pulled me into his chest, as his scent surrounded me, I felt safe.

This isn't just a crush, crushes don't act like this.

Cole loosened his grip, tilted my chin up and planted a sweet kiss onto my lips. That gave me butterflies.

Crushes definitely don't act like this

Saying nothing, Cole intertwined our fingers and walked me to class.

"Caitlyn, you are totally in love with him!" Jessie practically screamed as I shoved a french fry into my mouth.

"Am not"  I protested

"Who's not in love?" Cole asked as he approached us

"Caitlyn is denying being in love with you" Tori butted in. Cole didn't reply. Although, he threw me his sexy little smirk.

"You're not eating, Cole?" I questioned him

"No, I am" He said cheekily

"then where is your food?" I asked

"right here" as he shoved one of my fries into his mouth.

We talked and gossiped about Cole and I, for the rest of our lunch. I had history and english after this, both classes with Cole. Thankfully. I try to focus on what the teacher is saying but Cole keeps staring a me and it is really distracting. The rest of the day goes by fast as I didn't pay attention to the teacher. I didn't even gather if we have homework... I'll ask someone I guess.

I got a ride with Tori because we're all going to Jessie's house. All, meaning the girls and our guys. Jessies mom doesn't get off work until 8pm so we like to chill at her house a lot. Cole is the newest member of our group. We piled into Jessies kitchen as she passed out some drinks. I plugged in some music as Tori started a soon to be very awkward situation.

"Cole, you're the lucky one who gets to be Caitlyns first real boyfriend" I could hear her smirking at me.

"Actually we aren't officially together yet" I shouted in defense

"Ya, but I'm going to change that." Cole stated, cockily

"Wait, Caitlyn's never been in a real relationship before?" Hunter asked innocently

"I have never been in anything that wasn't just a 'thing'." I confess

"Come to think it, I'm going to change that right now." Cole shouts confidently as he walks over to me, holding both of my hands "Caitlyn Mathews.... Will you do the honour of being my girlfriend?"

I don't even know how to respond to this, I want to say yes but I can't.... so I nod. That's all I can control my body to do. Cole lets out a huge grin, picks me up bridle style and kisses me gently. Everyone starts clapping like they did in TFIOS when Hazel kisses Augustus in Amsterdam.

Now Cole and I are official and I couldn't be happier.
