Ronnie- ( steps out of the elevator peeling off the bandaid and throws it in the trash giving her a minute to still her nerves before heading to the room she's in finding the door open. pumping some germ-x on her hands she rubs them together and walks in stopping just at the curtain and clears her throat letting the doctor and her mother know she's present)
Layla- ( sits up a little straighter but with some effort) baby girl I didn't know you were coming to visit.
Dr. Matt- I take it she's your daughter then mrs, Carter
Ronnie- ( doesn't say anything and neither does her mother but she moves to set her purse in the chair and moves to look out the window what time her dr. gives her the great news)
Dr.Matt- and the good news is you'll be getting that transplant sooner then we'd originally anticipated.
Layla- that's wonderful news. do you know who it is so that I may write them a thank you note.
Dr. Matt- unfortunately Mrs. Carter the person wanted to remain anonymous. However I will tell them on the day of your surgery how thankful you are ( clears his throat) do you have any questions or concerns.
Layla- no sir. I'm just ready to have this surgery so that I may go home. how soon will I be able to have the surgery?
Dr. Matt- with in the next couple of days.
Ronnie- (waits till the doctor leaves the room and shuts the door closing her eyes to keep herself calm. Turning around she sits in the window and her hands are by her legs)
Layla- don't look at me that way Veronica. I bet your just gloating right now.
Ronnie- ( remains silent but her eyes go to the door as it opens revealing Damon, her father, her step-father, and Bonnie but her mother doesn't realize it so she lower her eyes back to the ground)
Layla- do you realize the problems you've caused running away the way you did. I've recieved phone calls from your school, I've had DCS show up at the fucking trailer over you. I've had calls from both of your jobs with worried managers wandering where you went. do you know how much shit you've put me in Veronica.
Ronnie- ( raises her eyebrows and sighs lowly )
Layla- what do you have to say for yourself? huh?
Ronnie- ( licks her bottom lip and looks at her) I have one question.
Layla- I don't have time for your question Veronica, I need you to answer me.
Ronnie- and I will mom. please just let me ask my question.
Layla- ( rolls her eyes )what is it.
Ronnie- did you ever at any time love me? or have you always hated me.
Layla- oh for fucks sakes ( pinches the bridge of her nose)
