"Ok, take another swing. But this time curve it a little, put all your weight into it"

I did as I was instructed. I took another swing trying to aim for his gloved hand. But I hit my brother straight in the stomach, by accident. The punch was so hard it knocked the wind out of him for a moment.

"I'm sorry" I giggled

"Nah. It's all good but damn you have a heavy hand, sis" He got down to my level "You've got serious potential, Kuiya. If you can punch like that at only ten years old, you'll be breaking boys before they can lay a finger on you." He pinched my cheeks

I laughed at him "stop it" I reached up and hugged him "I love you, Kei"

He hugged me back "I love you too, little one"

"I'm not little anymore" I pushed him off and pouted

"You'll always be little to me, you are my youngest sister" He stood up and patted my head "Plus you are my favorite" He winked at me "but don't tell~"

Before he could finish, I started running upstairs "KEI, SAID I WAS HIS FAVORITE" I yelled.

That's usually how it goes in the Tanki household.

I'm the youngest of four. My oldest brother is, Kei Tanki, he's nineteen. My sister, Kaori Tanki and my brother, Kamin Tanki are twins. They are both thirteen, my sister is the oldest twin. Then there's me, Kuiya Tanki, I'm ten years old.

My parents aren't really in the picture. My mother died during child birth, when she had me, so I don't remember her. My father on the other hand, he is an alcoholic and only became worse after my mom died. He blamed me a lot for her death.

When I was 7. I remember Kei, dropping out of school to take care of my siblings and I.

That's when we finally moved out and away from our father for good.

Into the place we are living now, a two bedroom apartment on the west side of Tokyo, Japan. We only have each other but I'm ok with that, because it's finally peaceful.

Kei has been teaching me how to fight for the past few months now. There's been a lot of gang activity in our area; so he wants me to be able to defend myself if I'm ever alone.

I run back upstairs to our apartment. Kaori and Kamin were watching TV.

"Hey Kui" Kaori said, looking up at me.

"Hey" I said, walking into the kitchen.

"Great! You guys are back. Now I can leave" Kamin said, getting up.

"Where are you going?" Kei said walking in.

"Gonna go hang out with Draken and the others."

"Can I come" I ran back into the living room.

"NO! This is an important meeting"

"Hey! Don't yell at her." Kaori said, hitting him.

"Just for doing that, you're taking her with you."

"Are you serious?"

"Very" Kei looked at me "go grab your jacket"

"YES!" I ran to the closet and grabbed my favorite red hoodie and ran out the door

"I'll look after her." Kaori said to Kei "KUIYA, WAIT UP." She yell to me.

Kamin mumbled something under is breathe, before grabbed his things.

"Be back before the street lights come on, you know how it gets. Dinner should be ready when you all get back."

"Ok" Kamin said in a low voice

"Hey, I love you guys."

Kamin smiled a bit "love you too, bro."

He closed the door and walked over to his motorcycle. Kaori and I were strapped in our helmets already on her hot pink motorcycle.

"HURRY UP, SLOWPOKE" She yelled

He ran over to his black motorcycle and hoped on.

"Don't forget your helmet" I said

"Ive got it"

He put on his helmet, started up and we all headed off.

We got to the location just as Baji and Mikey were pulling in. Mikey was passed out, on Baji back.

"Hey, Baji." Kamin said getting off his motorcycle.

Kaori and I got off as well "So are the others up there" Kaori asked

"Yea, they are." He looked down out me "I see you brought an extra guess" I hide behind my sister.

"It's all good, kid. I promise we are all friendly."

I gave a shy "ok" and nodded my head and run up the stairs

I got to the top seeing everyone was there. My brother walked passed me and greeted Draken.

"Hey, what's up man."

"Dragon, what's good, I thought that you weren't going to make it."

"I had to bring my little sister if I wanted to come."

"No worries, dude"

I want to go play to the side since everyone that was here about 2 and 3 years older than I was. They don't really pay that much attention to me since I was always with my siblings.

But something about Mikey always caught my attention we never really speak to each other just small little gestures here in there. Mikey's oldest brother, Shinichiro Sano and my Brother Kei are really good friends, almost like brothers themselves but Mikey and I just never clicked.

Until one fateful day, that changed everything.
