{FOUR ○ MONTHS ○ LATER}

The summer of '09 couldn't have come any faster and like Kamin promised, he come back for me.

Our flight leaves tonight. I finally had everything in order before I left. I will be attending Shibuya High school in the late fall for my senior year.

Emma, Imani and I will be moving in together along with one other person that Emma knows.

Everything was set.

"Imani and Emma are going to meet us at the airport." I said, walking into Kamin hotel room

"Oh ok, how do you feel?"

"Excited but very a little nervous"

"About?"

"I know things are going to be different from when we were kids but I'm excited."

"Yeah, you've got a point. At least we are finally getting out of here."

"We?"

"Yea I'm coming with you"

"When were you going to tell me this? What about your studies?"

"I dropped out, that's why I'm going back to Japan, but I knew how much you want to leave too."

"Awe you actually thought about me" I said sarcastically

He threw one of the pillows at me "Shut up, of course I do."

"Who will you be staying with? Definitely not with me."

"I could never, I'm moving in with Tyler Hampton."

"Oh, your old childhood best friend?"

"Yea"

It got quiet all of a sudden "Can we go visit Kei?"

"How about we go now before we leave."

"Ok"

We cleaned up and Kamin turned in the key to his hotal room, since we decide to go straight to the airport after our visit with Kei.

"Hey, big bro. We brought you more flowers to replace the old one's"

I sat the flowers down on his grave and replaced them. Four red roses and the rest sunflowers. Just how he liked it.

"I miss him" I grabbed my locket as the tears started. Kamin noticed and hugged me.

"I-Its not f-fair he should b-be here  co-oming with us-s" I cried

"I know." He said quietly. I felt my shoulder get a little wet, I looked up at Kamin; he was crying too.

We both took a moment to honor him. We bowed and said a prayer. Kamin finished and turned to me.

"I'm gonna go wait in the car."

I nodded

I opened my eyes when I heard him walk away and the car door shut. The tears were still there, I sat down. Still holding onto my locket and charm. I took a deep breath and tried to calm down enough to talk.

"I wish nothing more then for you to be here. To go back to Japan with us. It's was your home just as much."

I felt the tears start flowing faster again. I closed my eyes.

"Why did you have to leave? I need Kei. I can't DO THIS WITHOUT YOU"

In that moment I felt the wind pick up. I felt his presence there, it was like my brother was right there in front of me. I could clearly see him. He reached out,

"I never left you. My physical body is gone but my spirit will always be with you. Go find yourself and be happy. That's what will make me at peace."

He places his hand on my face and then my heart.

"You can do this Kui, I love you"

I opened my eyes; the sun was shining through the clouds. I small ray of sunshine danced on my face. Shocked from what I just saw and felt. I opened my locket and looked at the picture of the four of us.

Kei, Kamin, Kaori and I.

I looked to the sky and smiled.

"I love you too. I will do this for you"

I placed a kiss on his grave and headed to the car with a smile on my face.

I got in and buckled up. I turned to Kamin and hugged him. We pulled away after a few minutes.

"You ready to do this?"

"Yea, I am."

"Ok" He starts the car and we drive away. I looked at the window and up at the clouds. I smiled to myself, thinking.

"Thank you, Kei"

We arrived at the airport just in time. Emma and Imani were already there and waiting.

I ran over to them, after we finally got through security and TIA. We all greeted one another.

"I can't believe this is actually happening" Imani said

"I know it feels unreal" Emma said

"I'm just grateful I have my two best friends with me" I said

"You're going to have to show me everything when we get there" Imani said

"That's not a problem." Emma said

"We got you girl." I said

A few hours passed; when they finally called our flight number.

We boarded the plane and found our seats. I had a window seat and Imani and Emma were sitting in the row with me.

I opened my window to see the city lights of New York.

"Wake me up when we get there" Imani said

"Same here" Emma joined in

"I can do that"

I had so much on my mind I couldn't go to sleep just yet. I continued to look out the window as the plane was finally taking off.

"I'm finally out of this place and starting a new adventure and journey with the people I know and love. With all the pain and sadness it's made me realize that I'm stronger than I give myself credit for." I thought to myself

Little did I know this is where the story really begins.......
