Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?

Rivenna stared at the human-like AI that presented itself in front of her, repeating that same phrase over and over in her mind. The emotionless figure seemed as though it was staring straight through her soul. That was as it should be.

She never planned to program her machine to feel emotions. In her eyes, that would only flaw its perfection. Useless feelings would only get in the way of its true purpose- to control.

As the Queen of Divinia, the most powerful realm in the the universe, all she ever desired was to be noticed, loved, even worshipped. She felt that it was her birthright. She carefully crafted her dynasty from dainty ashes into the most beautiful wonderland of anyone's imagination. Her parents before her made a grave error in their ruling, causing her family to be exiled, and inevitably throwing the realm into complete anarchy. It was only when she appeared and took control that the chaos died down, and harmony was restored.

Everyone loved Queen Rivenna. She listened to the peoples' thoughts, and did as much as she possibly could to please them. Very few people went hungry, and the rates of crime were extremely low. She even regularly hosted large events at her palace, where citizens from all across the realm would travel to participate in the fun. From an outsider's perspective, it was almost as if she was perfect

In reality, she was just as far from perfection as the devil himself.
