9:32 p.m.

Zack and Sharon Denbrough had rushed to the hospital a few hours before Sharon was to go into labor. Terrified that something would go wrong if they weren't at least a bit early.

They waited for hours before anything happened next, and a lot did happen. After Sharon went into the delivery room, they had asked Zack if he wanted to watch. Naturally, he said yes. Then promptly ran off to the bathroom. The sound of retching was heard behind the Doctor's explanations. Even through the pain, Sharon couldn't help but roll her eyes at her husband.

"I'd love for him to be the one pushing this baby out."

The nurse chuckled as she checked Sharon's vitals, turning to the doctor to inform him of her next contraction.

Minutes later, Zack walked out of the bathroom, cleaning his mouth off with a paper towel. He stopped in his tracks at the sight before him. There lying in Sharon's arms was a blue bundle. His son.

He walked over towards them, Sharon and the nurse talking in hushed tones as the baby wailed in her arms.

"Is that him?" He couldn't help but ask.

Sharon looked up with tears in her eyes, one of the colors being hers, while the other eye was the color of her husband. She gently nodded her head, looking back down at the boy.

Zack couldn't help but let out a chuckle, "he's got your eyes... Or, should I say, eye?"

Sharon laughed, "he most certainly does. Oh, he's so beautiful."

Zack kissed her on her forehead, "you did great, honey. I'm so proud of you."

Glancing over with a teasing smile, she couldn't help but joke, "and you did ok. Not everyone has as tough as a stomach like me."

A sharp laugh from him had the baby wailing even louder, looking around the room in shock. Zack placed his hand over the babies, who instantly latched on and stared in utter fascination as he slowly stopped crying.

"Are they supposed to be able to open their eyes that wide when they're first born?" He questioned his wife.

She hesitated before answering, "I'm not for sure."

"Well, he's certainly going to be a looker. That's for sure!"

She rolled her eyes at him once more, and the nurse came over asking for a name.

They glanced at each other, and Sharon smiled. Turning to the nurse, she answered, "William Jacob Denbrough. Bill for short."

The nurse wrote the name down and walked out of the room. Another nurse came in with the doctor and spoke to the new parents for a bit before taking baby Bill away. They watched with tears in their eyes.

"Don't worry, sweetie," Zack consoled, "we'll see him in the morning. And then the morning after that. And after that." Sharon laughed as Zack continued on, "I feel bad for all the females out there now."

She looked over in confusion, and he smiled back at her, "because we're the ones with the best son ever. And there's only one girl who will be lucky enough to have our son as a soulmate."
