Such a pretty face

You see her walking around

It's the middle of the night

And nobody makes a sound

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The last few days of the week felt like they were dragging on. Anita was excited about spending time with Anson over the weekend, considering she's never been over to his place before. She's heard so much about it, and couldn't wait to see it in person, but today finally started the weekend. Anson had texted both her and Odessa with the details they needed, just in case Odessa had to bring Anita. From what Anita's seen so far today, she should be free to leave whenever, as long as she says she's heading to Odessa's.

Her family may not know about Anson, but they definitely know about Odessa. Odessa's been Anita's best friend since elementary school, so she's no stranger to the Bellamy household.

Tick, tock, tick. The minutes felt so slow. Anita's working on her project for Chemistry to help pass the time. She's on a phone call with Odessa, talking about the assignment and asking her questions.

Eventually, the hour hits. "Anita, it's time for you to head out. You sure you're safe to leave?"

"Of course," she says, "I'll just say I'm coming to your place."

"Perfect, just as we discussed. Let me know how things go!"

"You know I will," she smiles, pulling a piece of paper out of her notebook. On it, she writes:

"Be back soon.

Went to Odessa's.

Anita"

"There. Note's all ready. They'll probably come home while I'm out," she sighs, standing from her bed. "I'll call you later, all right?"

"Talk to you later, Anita," Odessa hangs up the phone.

Anita wanders out to the living room and sets her note on the table, hoping they'll see it. She grabs a light jacket and pulls it over her, heading out the door. She didn't worry about locking it, she was almost certain one of her parents would be home soon.

She steps into her car, putting Anson's address into her GPS. It wasn't too far. Before leaving, she texts Anson letting him know she's on her way. She starts the route, now backing out of the driveway. She drives for a little while, showing up right when she was supposed to. When there, she sees Anson sitting out on his porch waiting for her. She exits her car, greeting Anson.

He goes up to her and hugs her, inviting her inside. They both didn't move.

"I have somewhere I'd like to show you," he says, "follow me."

Anita tilts her head at him much like a dog would. But, she follows him to the back of the house, toward his barn.

"I know you're probably not much of a horse person, but I grew up with these guys," he explains, "my family are horse breeders, specializing in Anglo Arabs and Morgans," he pauses to take a breath. He's rather passionate about this subject. "We have a yearling that I'd like to introduce you to. I think you'll love her."

He walks into the Morgan horses stables, walking up to a mare. "This is her dam, Epheline," He pets her snout gently, encouraging Anita to do the same. He walks over a stall. "This is her sire, Orin." They repeat the same thing they just did. And one more stall later...
