Bullseye

"You ready?" Ghost asks next to me.

After I took October home, I headed back to the club house, had a beer, then went to bed. Ghost apparently made it his top priority to become a fucking personal rooster, because he woke me up at the crack of dawn, wanting to go for a ride. For a dude who likes not being bothered, he sure as hell likes bothering me.

"Yep." I lift my leg over my bike and start her up.

We drive down a dirt road, out of town. It quiet, only the birds chirping, and the sun is still rising. Me and Ghost usually go on rides like this when one of us needs to calm down.

We keep driving for a bit, then come to a stop by a tree. I didn't notice earlier, mostly because I was still half asleep, but Ghost looks agitated. Whatever got him worked up, a ride sure as hell didn't help much.

"What's wrong brother?" I ask him.

He sighs then tilts his head up. "Nothing really, just a lot on my mind."

We sit down under the tree and relax for a bit. The birds are still chirping, and the sun has almost finished rising.

"Have you ever wondered what it's like to have a kid?" Ghost breaks the silence. I look over at my brother confused.

"Sometimes, why?" I ask him, very curiously.

"I don't know, I saw a kid yesterday that looked lonely. Just made me wonder"

Ghost isn't big on spilling his feelings. None of us are. But I know Ghost has a soft spot for kids.

"You know, if you ever want one, you could adopt."

Ghost looks down and furrow his brows. "Maybe..."

He then shakes his head and gets up. He looks more relaxed, and ready to go.

We get on our bikes and head back to the clubhouse, where some of our brothers are just waking up and coming out of their room.

I think of a certain girl, wondering if she's waking up right now. The thought brings a smile to my face, imagining her dark green hair messy, and her yawning.

I'm tempted to make an excuse to go see her. But I don't. It seems way to desperate.

And as if the god's could hear me, my phone starts to buzz in my pocket letting me know I got a notification. Said notification just so happens to be a text from the girl I wanted to see.

Pumpkin: good morning :)

Me: Morning pumpkin

I'm guessing the smiley face means she's happy. Ya and your hoping it's because of you. Damn right.

Pumpkin: Did you sleep well?

Aw.

Me: I did. What about you?

Pumpkin: I did as well :)

Me: That's wonderful

I look at the time. She's probably heading to work by now. I head to my room and try to get more sleep in.

I woke up a few hours ago and headed out where my brother's are. Some are still passed out on tables, other's in booths. I walk over to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee, and see Ivy cooking.

"Good morning"

"Good morning? What happened to you being to tired to put good and morning in the same sentence?" Ivy looks over her shoulder with an eye brow raised. "Was it a certain girl who also walked into the diner with a small smile on her face be the cause of that good morning?" Ahh. Of course she'd know. She reads us better than anyone else ever could.

"Could be" You idiot, of course it's because of her.

"Mhm, you aren't hiding it too well Bullseye" Ivy said, turning back to the stove.

"Who says I'm trying to hide it?" I look back down at my coffee.

She looked slightly over to me, giving me a look, shaking her head and went back to cooking. I left the kitchen and sat down in a booth that wasn't occupied, and looked to see if I had any new messages.

After replying to the few messages I had, i finish my coffee and got up to go work on my bike. Poor girl could use it. I get the tools needed, and fix any loose bolts and some of the dents in her. I occasionally check my phone, seeing if I have any new messages. God I act like a teenage boy with a crush.

I can't even remember the last time i acted this way. Hell I don't think I ever have.
