Atsuko kept herself busy with chores and her studies, It has been a month and she's enjoyed living at the palace. She's seen girls leave within a few days of her arrival and hoped she wouldn't be the next.
She walked the halls after lunch gathering her notes for class.
"Atsuko. Psst."
Atsuko looked around for the whisper only to see Jin sun hiding in the shadows, he had his mask on as he waved to her.
"Jin?"
"Atsuko. Off to class?"
"Yes. Did you need something? The emperor said not too play with you."
"He's just jealous. He never got to play when he was younger."
Jin took her hand and started pulling Atusko down the stairs away from the class. Atsuko pulled back and planted her feet to the ground. He pulled harder with frustration.
"Why are you so strong!" he yelled before she let go of his hand; he fell backward but caught himself. I've never seen anyone stand on one hand before. Jin simply got to his feet and just smiled.
"You should be an Assassin. Atsuko, I mean if you want...but the emperor wants a new bride..so your training for that."
Before she even knew it the dragon girl blurted out she wanted to train to kill. It wasn't lady like or proper at the least but she needed some help when It came to bringing down the emperor. Jin looked dumbfounded as she went on and on about the training.
"Can we start now."
"I wanted to play..seeing that it's my day off since the emperor is "sick" "
"Sick?"
She started to follow Jin to the west gate were no one really stood guard in the middle of the day due to the sun. He explained how even if one of the girls married him he would still have another woman thus the title of sick.
"Wait.."
He stopped and turned to face the confused girl. She stood and thought for a while but than followed him to the gate. Both left into town and out into the woods where Jin had set up a small training post. A few other people stood waiting for him.
"Jin. Whose the runt?" a tall girl asked looking down on Jin.
"My new friend Atsuko, she wants to train with us."
"Ha, she looks too clean." the girl barked and just crossed her arms. Jin brushed it off and began too train Atsuko, the duo practiced basic skills and soon it was night. Jin and Atsuko snuck back into the palace.
"I had fun today Atsuko, I hope too see you next time." Jin smiled and handed her a small bell.
"What is this for?"
"If you ever need me. Just ring it." Jin smiled and Atsuko made her way back to her room.
