Maya's POV:
I woke up to a bright light hovering above me, causing me to narrow my eyes as I hear a beeping sound of a monitor, a sound that is way too familiar to me.
Hospital, again. Ughh.
As my senses got back, I felt two people holding my hand on both sides. So, I look down and see my parents, mama on the left and my dad on the right side.
As I try to sit up, I pull up my upper body first, which is a bad idea as my heart stung a little. I groaned which caused my parents to wake up and look at me immediately with worry in their eyes.
"Hey, hey, just lay down, sweetie. It's okay." My dad said as he helped me to lay down and get comfortable on the bed again.
"Are you hurting? Does it hurt anywhere, baby?" My mom said after I got comfortable.
"My chest hurts a little, but it's okay- how did I get here? What happened?" I said as I look around and then turn my gaze back at them.
"Natasha, she was supposed to bring your phone back that you left at her car then she saw you at the living room, she bring you here then she called Maria. Are you sure nothing hurts anymore, honey?" My mom explained as I shook my head and asked,
"W-where is she? Where's natasha? Maria?" I ask as I look around again.
"They're both at the cafeteria to get us some foods and coffee." Dad said and brush some of my hair that is wandering around my face.
"Wait-how long was I out?" I ask curiously.
"7 hours, sweetheart. You should rest some more, it's still 4 in the morning." My mom said.
"No, don't worry, im fine. Wait, did natasha waited too?" I ask softly as they sit back again.
"Yeah, she said she didn't want to leave until you wake up." My mom said and smiled.
"She's really worried tho, that's the first time I saw her like that." My dad said looking at mom with a knowingly look while smirking.
"Oh shut it, she's just worried about our daughter, there's nothing more behind that." My mom said and chuckled underneath her breathe.
"But you saw how she acted earlier, that doesn't seem like 'there's nothing more behind that'." My dad said still smirking as I look at them with so much confusion while my mom just giggled.
"What is are you guys talking about?" I ask, but before anyone can answer, the door to my room opened revealing my sister with coffees in her hand with a red head following her with some paper bags in hands.
My sister's eyes light up when she saw me awake, but the tiredness on her face can't hide.
"Oh thank goodness you're awake." My sister said and give my parents their coffee and put the remaining things in her hands down.
Maria came over to me and hug while placing a lingering kiss on my forehead.
"You got me really worried. Im sorry I didn't came home sooner and I forgot to pick you up." My sister said and pull away from the hug and kiss my forehead again.
"It's okay, don't worry about. Besides, Natasha was there." I said as I turned my gaze at the red head woman who was standing behind my parents.
The worry is visible in her aura, I can see it-I can sense it. When I turned my gaze at her I smiled thankfully and said,
"Thank you natasha." I said as I smile sweetly and thankfully at her.
"It's nothing, don't worry about it." She said with a smile.
"Oh and, I bought you foods, Maria said you will be hungry when you wake up." Natasha added and hesitantly walked towards the bed.
At the corner of my eyes I saw my parents gave each other a knowing look like before, and then my dad opened her mouth.
"Here Nat, sit, we're just gonna go talk to the doctor about the situation. Come on darling." My dad said and stand up and go to mom and put an arm around her.
"Are you okay now?" Maria said after she sip at the coffee cup.
"Hmyeah, don't worry." I said and gave her a smile.
"I'm just gonna use the bathroom real quick, be right back." Maria said and go to the bathroom.
"Hey, here, you can choose what you like, I brought a different types of foods here....and don't worry, they are all less sugar." Natasha said as she bring out the foods outside the paper bag and settle it at the rolling table and put it infront of me.
My heart somehow flutter when she said it's all less sugar. It's warm, but it's a different type of warmth.
"You remembered that I have a diabetes?" I ask with a smile as I look at the foods infront of me.
"Yeah ofcourse- I- I mean, Maria, Maria told me and I remembered what you said at the restaurant." She said a little bit unsure.
"Oh, okay, thank you so much, you didn't have to tho." I said and look at her only to see that she's already looking back at me with a small smile.
"I know, but I want to." She said softly as her voice trail off at the end.
I don't know what's this feeling in my stomach, but it's warm and new, not in a bad way tho, it's something I've never felt before.
I didn't know we're staring at each other for too long until she cleared her throat and stand up from her seat.
"Uhm, I think I should go now." She said while picking up her things.
"Can you stay?" I don't know why that came out of my mouth, seriously, it just came out.
But the idea of her leaving, brings an emptiness feeling inside me, and now I have to find a reason why I said that.
I mean, that's weird if say that to her.
"Uhm, I mean, I can't finish all of this tho, even with Maria....please?" I said and can see that she immediately gave in but took a second to answer.
"Okay."
