Flying Tests

It was the next day when Meilo took Tommy to an obstacle course; well a beginner flying course that is. "How are you going to teach me to fly?" Tommy questions as he looks at his wings, "A uh good friend of mine has wings and taught me a few things so when I came across an 'orphaned' avian I would be able to help them at least a little bit." Meilo says, he's not technically lying. He does have a friend with wings but he taught himself the things he's going to teach Tommy. "So how do I fly?" he asks excitedly, "First your going to try flapping your wings. A typical lesson is done by another avian via throwing them off a cliff but I'm not an avian." Meilo says. Tommy does exactly that showing all the muscles are there and working perfectly fine this is when Meilo calls over his flock with a whistle.

Tommy marvels at the beautiful birds as they fly around, "Birds and avian/Elytrians are similar to each other. They have similar wing structures and flapping 'abilities' thought the rest of them is different. I've heard stories of avians/Elytrians learning how to fly by watching birds." Meilo says.

Tommy had finally learned how to at least lift himself off the floor after an hour and after that they worked on how to fly in directions. The stronger the connection between Tommy and Meilo grew the more Tommy's marking grew brighter and warmer. It was a comfortable warmth that Tommy found protection in it, "Hey Meilo; you like history don't you? Do you know what this marking means?" Tommy asks suddenly as he shows Meilo his arm. They were on their way home, "Hm...If your referring to the Leo marking on your forearm there's no readable accounts on what it is." Meilo says, "No hold on. I said readable. Readable by normal people standards; there are numerous accounts in ancient writing. It has to do with a particular death entity." "Death entity? What does that mean?" Tommy asks as they reach the house, "An entity or deity that has ties with death but is not strictly a death god or goddess... The most well known but least well known is Limbo or the Ruler of Limbo." Meilo says, "Which brings me to your topic. Constellations printed on skin is a sign that in a past life you had made a deal with him and he claimed you."

"So I had once made a deal with Limbo and I was branded?" Tommy says, "Yup." Meilo says as he internally smiles to himself. He loves his work.
