My Moonlight (Naruhina) DISCONTINUED

Chapter- 11

"Mhm.."

Sunshine filtered through the sheer curtains spread into the room, gently caressing the sleeping angel in the silken sheets, coercing her to wake up and grace the new day. Black long lashes fluttered against the soft pale cheeks, moonlit eyes moving behind the curtains as they took in their surroundings, a scene they were unfamiliar with. Confusion settled into the beautiful eyes, disrupting the calm they held before.

Hinata's Pov:

I sat up and looked around, rubbing at my still sleepy eyes. The sight unfamiliar to me. 'Where am I?!' This is not my room or any in my house!

I threw the blanket covering me aside,  just now noticing that the attire I donned wasn't mine either. I jumped down from the bed but just to my luck I stumbled, getting myself tangled in the blanket I had discarded earlier quite coarsely, lending on the ground with an audible thump. I clutched the blanket and crawled into the corner, holding my arms in front of my chest and rocking myself, trying to calm myself down.

"No.."

"No...this can't be happening again.. not again.."

Confusion gone, the twin moons were covered with a layer on panic in them, dazed as if they were looking but not looking, the body was there but mind was not. It was lost in the dark events of past. A time when they suffered a lot, saw a lot. A accident which pushed them to be stronger but left them vulnerable too.

A quivering form sat in the corner, eyes shut, mind lost, not in the beautiful daydream of the future but in a nightmare of past. Strolling in park, blacking out, waking up in an unfamiliar place; tied up and restrained, beeping sirens, gunshots and a lot of blood and screaming.

"Make it stop...please..no, don't hurt him.." Words muttered under a short breath.

Naruto's Pov:

I sat at the dining table, waiting for Hinata to wake up. I feel really hungry but it would be impolite to eat without her. Younger me wouldn't have waited for anyone, but not the me now.

"Naruto san!"

"Hm? What's the rush?" I asked the maid who came running over, looking as if she found a ghost or a ghost found her. 'Grrrr..~' I shuddered at the  thought.

"Something happened to Lady Hyuga..she's trembling and not responding to any of us." The maid uttered in worry.

I was on my feet as soon as I heard her, moving quickly towards the room Hinata was in.

The scene in front of me was heart wrenching, the girl who I only saw with either a smile or calm look on her face looked so scared right now.

I sat down in front of her and reached out to touch her when she moved further away.

"Hinata chan...its me." I looked at her eyes, now red with brimming tears. "You're safe.." I don't know what was happening but I felt like those were the right words to say and the way she leapt into my arms after that proved that, yes, they were.

I held her close to me, rubbing her back. "I'm here Hinata chan." I muttered into her ear.

Two bodies, two souls, two heart sat enveloped in each other, sharing the warmth, pain and care with each other. One muttered the words of support and care while other calmed down slowly. Those two created a beautiful image, lavender blending into the orange under the rays of sunshine, bright and cooling at the same time.

That was the time when the sun's heart opened to the moon's, accepting the coolness it brought.

"Will you tell me what happened?"

The question went unanswered.

<Time skip>

Naruto once again sat in the dining room but not alone anymore, he was accompanied by a still quite but now calm Hinata. His eyes found their way back to the quite girl, who he thought  was strong, even in her most vulnerable state.

He didn't want to see her like that ever again, no matter how beautiful she looked with red rimmed eyes, messy hair and flushed cheeks as if she had..'No! Naruto you're spending too much time with Jiraya!'

"Um..Hinata chan, I'll bring you back to your house after the breakfast...but before that, do you want to go somewhere with me?"

All I got was a nod in affirmation. She was always quite but bright but this quietness was covered with the cloud of gloom and I didn't like that at all.
