Like hello, you’re so not his type
Lana got in late that night, and she couldn’t stop smiling. The evening at the beach had gone really well, as had her first day at school. Judith had given her a lift there after school, much to Victoria’s disgust as she kept complaining that she would be late for dance. They spent most of the night on the beach, and then in one of the bars there. Robyn and Mark excused themselves pretty early, but even before that they seemed to only have eyes for each other. They made such a perfect couple. Sarah and Sammy spent most of the time sunbathing while they could, at least until Xavier decided to soak them with water and then run away. Sammy got him back for that though, pushing him backwards into the sea and then both she and Sarah held him under. Tara was with her most of the time, as was Jack, and they chatted all evening. It turned out that they all had an awful lot in common. Tara also told her something that really surprised her: that up she had been with Carlos for two months. It was about six months before, but it was still a shock. She knew that Tara deserved so much better than him, even if she’d only known her for a day and him for three. But it did make her understand one thing, Tara’s comment about Spanish guys generally messing you around and fucking up your lives.
She slipped out of her clothes and put on her pj’s, then slipped into bed and grabbed her laptop. She checked her facebook and saw she had a message in her inbox and a few notifications. The notifications were just stupid things that she clicked through in a matter of seconds but the message when she clicked onto the message she saw it was from Jake. She closed the page, not even bothering to see what he had to say. She’d read it tomorrow- she couldn’t deal with any of his shit tonight. It felt wrong not answering him but it felt right at the same time.
A few minutes later she closed the laptop, turned off the light and popped her headphones in her ears, letting the soothing sound of Colbie Caillat help her drift off to sleep.

Carlos woke up early the next morning. He rubbed his eyes and stared at the bright green numbers on his alarm clock. They were giving him a headache, spinning around in front of him, but he could still tell what time it was. 5.36. Why the hell was he up this early? Then he thought about what had woke him up. Ugh, what the heck, he thought to himself as he remembered what it was. Or, correction: who she was. How did she end up in his dream? He grabbed the pillow and pulled it down over his head, almost smothering himself in the process, just to try and get back to sleep. It wasn’t working at all. He hurled the pillow across the room and hauled himself out of bed and out into the corridor.
As soon as he stepped out of his bedroom, his Little sister Ana hurled herself into his arms. “Carly! Buenos días mi hermano favorito! Te quiero Carly! Sabes? Sabes que te quiero?”
“Si, yo sé preciosa. Y te quiero con todo mi corazón, pero, porque no estás durmiendo a esa hora? Y como estas tan animado?” he replied, suppressing a yawn as he put her back down onto the floor.
“Si, Carly, pero no podía dormir. Es mi cumpleaños mañana Carly. Sabes? It’s my birthday tomorrow!” she sang.
“Yo sé princesa. Go back to bed for a bit though. I’ll see you in a couple of hours.”
“Okay Carly!”
He headed to the bathroom and jumped in the shower, trying to wake himself up. Half an hour later he emerged, still pretty much half asleep but feeling a bit better now.

Lana hopped out of the car as fast as she could when they arrived at school. She was trying her best to avoid Victoria, but the girl wasn’t making it easy. She seemed to have it in for her.
