Our group walks outside to the pool area once we finish breakfast. While some people have no issues jumping in the water immediately after eating, Kirishima and Tetsutetsu for example, I choose to lounge in a chair for a little to avoid cramps. Midoriya's in the seat beside me, Uraraka on the opposite side of him.
Yaoyorozu and Jirou soon come over and take two empty chairs next to me. Yaoyorozu's sporting one of the luxury bikinis I packed in my own suitcase for her. Jirou's black two piece is on the basic side, but it still complements her body well. They take turns applying sunscreen on each other's backs.
I turn to Yaoyorozu. "Can you get my back too, actually?"
She nods and motions for me to sit up. I remove my tank top and drape my legs over the edge of the chair, facing my body toward Midoriya. Her hands slide up and down my back, covering every inch of skin with sunblock. The sight probably appears risqué to anyone who's unfamiliar with my relationship with Yaoyorozu. The two of us have always been comfortable with one another, especially on my end. She's the first person from my class that I met since we took the recommendation entrance exams together, and we've been close ever since.
I grab the sunscreen bottle from her to do the rest of my body while she and Jirou squeeze into one lounge chair to cuddle each other. When I finish I try to hand the bottle to Midoriya, though he's not paying attention to me. I glance in the direction he's looking in and discover why.
Mirio Togata and Tamaki Amajiki, former students of UA, approach us. Togata has his forearm stretched out, Eri hanging upside down from it like a koala. They must have just gotten out of the pool given how damp everyone's hair is.
"Deku, look," Eri giggles, "Lemillion's here!"
Togata waves using his free hand. "It's great to see you guys! It's been a while."
"Same here," Uraraka says. "It's good to see you too, Amajiki."
"They forced me to come," Amajiki sighs. "I wanted to stay home."
Togata beams at his friend. "But you're here now, and that's all that matters!" He turns to the rest of us. "A bunch of kids from your class are trying to rally enough people for water volleyball if you guys want to join them."
Jirou nudges Yaoyorozu. "We should play."
"I'm in," Uraraka adds. "Are you guys not playing?" she asks Togata.
Togata raises the arm that Eri's latching on to, causing her to emit the cutest laugh I think I've ever heard. "We would, but we're a little occupied."
"We're taking Eri to try out the waterslide," Amajiki clarifies.
"You should come, Deku," Eri says. "We can do it together!"
Midoriya smiles. "Sure, that sounds fun."
He leaves his belongings with All Might and Aizawa, who are enjoying some colorful alcoholic drinks as they relax on the opposite side of the deck. Though All Might has to take a break every few minutes to take pictures with fans, much to Aizawa's dismay. Midoriya then takes off with Eri, Togata, and Amajiki, leaving the rest of us to join those in the pool for volleyball.
As expected, we're playing as a class against the students of 3-B. Our class is two people short, given that Midoriya and Bakugou aren't participating. I actually don't know where Bakugou is at the moment. Regardless, it's fine, since Camie and Hado are here and will be filling in for them.
Forty people playing at once is far too many, so the game will be split into two matches of ten versus ten. For some reason, my class always likes to split amongst the sexes, mostly pushed by the girls since they're all inseparable. Still, that leaves them two people short, and I already know where this is going.
