Chapter 1: Celebrate!

They have done it! They won! Dark Enchantress cookie has been defeated and now everyone was celebrating with all together and having a good time with one another!

"Ha-ha! We did it!" Rougefort shouted and he hugged his husband and was jumping up and down in happiness. "Yes we did Rougefort!" Almond said and he and Rougefort smiled and kissed making his daughter gag.

"Eww gross!" She shouted and hugged a black squid cookie named Squid Ink who was always crying "yu...cky~" they said in their slow speech and both men smiled and holds them close.

"Aww Almond let's adopt this darling~ I don't think he has a family" Rougefort whispered softly and it made Almond smile more and nod. "I don't see why not~ hey Squid you wanna be part of our small family?"

This made Squid look at him wide eyed for a moment before smiling for the first time in a long time which made them all smile and Squid held their arms up and shook very hard and smiled wide.

"Fam...ily~?" they whispered softly and Almond smiled at them and picked them up and held them close. "That's right your family~" Almond whispered and he, Rougefort, and Walnut hugged the sobbing cookie close.

Meanwhile Mala was hugging her new adopted daughter and son close and they hugged her back. "I love having a cool mom!" Chili Pepper said with a huge grin on her face.

"Me too!" said Red Pepper and they celebrated with their new mom who was smiling wide and they ran off to get her a mom gift they wanted to do. "I'll find the best gift and it'll be better then yours!" Chili said with a playful smirk.

"You're on!" Red said with a smirk and they ran past Avocado Cookie and her three newly adopted children Gingerbrave, Gingerbright" and Strawberry Cookie.

"We love you mom!" Brave and Bright shouted in happiness. "And I love all three of you so much~" Avocado replied and she hugged her and the other two in a family group hug and laughed warmly and Strawberry blushed with a smile.

"I love you...mom~" Strawberry whispered and she smiled underneath her pink hoodie and it made Avocado smile and hug her more and the other two smiled at the sight.

Even Roll Cake Cookie and his little brother Pancake Cookie and Cream Puff Cookie were adopted by the best magical cookie, Latte Cookie herself and they loved their mom asmuch as she loved them with all her heart.

"Can we go flying together mommy?!" Pancake asked with a huge smile. "Later sweetie, right now I wanna cuddle with my sweet babies~" Latte cooed and he nodded with a smile on his face.

"We love you, mom" Roll Cake whispered and felt his heart swell up in happiness and the other two agreed and they walked around together with smiles and passed two men who watched everyone adopt kids.

"By Devine's light this is a wonderful thing, those kids needed homes!" A knight cookie named Madeleine with his booming and boastful voice as he held his husband close to his side.

"Yes it is it's quite wonderful~" Espresso said with a smile and he kissed Madeleine and they walked through the crowds and Espresso suddenly stopped his husband with his arm, looking straight ahead with a frown.

"Essy? What is it?" Madeleine asked with a frown. "Look there" Espresso said with a sigh and pointed to a very small certain wizard all by himself while reading all by himself.

"Oh...poor kid~" Madeleine sighed and then he suddenly smiled brightly and he and Espresso walked to the small cookie and blocked his light. "Hello? I'm enjoying my reading time here?" The cookie said with a frown.

"Sorry little guy but we just wanted to see how you're doing" Madeleine said with a warm smile. "Ugh I'm fine, thank you and now please go away~" the child groaned in frustration.

"Now now, no need to be so cross~" Espresso said calmly. "Mm-kay guess I can spare a moment..." the child grumbled and he put his book down with a huff. "Good cause we wanna say thank you for saving all of Earthbread."

"Uh...you guys saved it too" the child said with a sigh and annoyed look on his face. "True but by Devine's light you did not falter!" Madeleine said with a smile and laughed warmly.

This made the small cookie look away with a blush. "Uh yeah...yeah" he looked away and grabbed his staff. "I uh...I gotta go!" The smal cookie suddenly got up with his book and run off making the other two a tad bit concerned.

"Maybe he was told he mustn't to talk to strangers by his parents~" Espresso said with a sigh and small smile. "Maybe~" Madeleine he smiled and they walked home unaware of the dark truth.

And as the walked away the small cookie quickly looked from a building and looked uncomfortable with the way they were near him and getting in his space. He felt like they were interfering his personal life and he shuddered.

"I don't need them! I don't need anyone to bother me or near me like that!" He said firmly to himself and he walked away and watched as more kids getting adopted by families and glared at it.

"That's so stupid why are they doing that? They're not even related and it's wrong!" He stabbed his staff firmly into the ground and shook hard and he felt something run down his cheek.

"Ah! No! I will not be weak!" He snarled at himself and ran as fast as he could he refused to look behind him as well and swore this only a trick that The Witch casted on him. "I swear I won't let her make me give in to her!"

He continued on his journey and didn't look back as the celebration grew farther and farther away and he felt fresh hot tears fall as he slowly slipped onto his knees and sobbed.

He wasn't going to give in to anything or anyone and it started to rain hard and he sighed and got up, wiped his tears away and continued on his journey with a grumble and frowned as well and he refused to look back.
