Chapter 3: Hospital blues~

It was very quiet in the hospital and it was a very relaxing and slow day. Patients were sleeping eating or doing their physical therapy and only a few were discharged and some were checked in with no problems st all.

Suddenly the doors were shoved to open faster as Madeleine and Espresso came I'm with pale and panicked expressions on their faces and Madeleine screamed at a nurse.

"HELP THIS CHILD WAS ATTACKED BY A CAKE HOUND!" This made the nurse gasp and take him and lay him on a bed that a doctor brought over and a few nurses rush over and they rushed off and poor Wizard dropped his staff.

And the couple watched them wheeled him away. "Poor little guy~" Madeleine sighed and Espresso walked up and grabbed his staff and hummed in agreement and they sat down.

And they waited for any news and soon everyone who was with Wizard and the kids looked scared and worried about Wizard's life. "The poor baby~" Espresso whispered softly and he teared up and felt so worried and felt something.

"Madeleine we must tell his parents about what just happened" Espresso said with a frown. "I agree with you Essy" Madeleine said with a nod and smile on his face to comfort him.

This made Espresso smile and lean on his shoulder while the kids talked to one another "It's all my fault I pushed him" Chili said with a sigh and she felt Strawberry hug her and she hugged her back tightly and teared up and shook.

"It's not your fault Chili" Brave said with a comforting smile and he and Strawberry and Bright hugged her and Chili sniffled but slowly smiled and hugged them back and she felt better and felt a lot better.

A few hours later a doctor walked out and Espresso instantly rushed over and Madeleine followed him. "Is he ok?" Espresso asked gripping the staff in concernas his husband held him close.

"He's ok just knocked out and had crack we had to patch up on his belly" the doctor explained with a frown on his face. "Oh my god~" Espresso whispered softly and he covered his mouth in complete shock.

"C-can we see him?" Madeleine asked with a soft sigh and hugged his husband closer as he shook hard. "You can just be careful with him" the doctor said with a small smile and he lead them to a room.

They saw Wizard in hospital crib since he was small and had an IV in his hand as he had a hospital gown on his his wizard robe and scarf folded on top of a hospital chair as well as his hat resting on top of the chair as well.

"Poor kid~" Madeleine whispered and Espresso nodded and put his staff next to his clothes and petted Wizard's head as he whimpered softly. "Shhh it's ok baby~" Espresso whispered softly.

"He's also surprisingly very under weight like he hasn't eaten in days" the doctor explained to them. "What?! Where is his parents?! I swear by my Light Magic I will kill them! And I don't care what happens to me!"

Madeleine shook hard and looked very pissed off. "Madeleine calm down" Espresso whispered and he didn't look at him as he took the small cookie in his arms and sat in a rocking chair.

"Easy Maddie" Espresso whispered and this made Madeleine slowly nod and sigh while the doctor looked grim "he sadly doesn't have parents. We looked everywhere for records of him but found nothing at all."

"So he's an orphan~" Madeleine whispered and he teared up and shook hard. "Essy we need to take him in~" he whispered and Espresso noded in agreement as Wizard started to cry.

"Shh, shh, it's ok~" Espresso whispered softly and he kissed his head and hummed softly and Wizard only cried more and the doctor smiled softly at his loving nature and walked out to let them have privacy.

But after the doctor left Wizard cried more and shook hard and Espresso shushed his softly and rubbed his back as he got an idea. "Maddie if you tell anyone about this I will end you~"

"Huh? What are you-" Madeleine started to ask as he suddenly saw Espresso take his tie and cape off and lowered his shirt and used his magic to make his breast full of warm milk and he guided Wizard to his chest and he latched on.

"Drink my baby~ it has nutrients to help you get stronger~" Espresso whispered softly and with that Wizard sniffled and whimpers softly and suckled softly and he slowly started to relax.

"Wow...just wow~" Madeleine whispered and he kissed his husband's head and smiled at the sight. "Don't worry son we're here now and you are not alone~" he whispered softly and he put his white gloved hand on Wizard's head.

This made Wizard whine and Espresso shushed him softly and it made the child calm down and clung onto Espresso and Espresso smile warmly and he held Wizard closer.

"We love you so much~" Espresso whispered softly and he kissed his head softly and rocked him more and Madeleine smiled and stood there and watched Wizard suckle before he stopped and fell asleep peacefully.

"You are perfect for us and we love you son~" Madeleine whispered and he and Espresso watched as Wizard slept in his peaceful slumber as the sun went down and the moon and stars appeared.

"Good~ you found a family~" a female cookie named Moonlight and she was glad he finally got a chance to have a family. "After five years, Felix Ethan Wizard" she said with a smile on her face and shone her light on them.

This made the couple smile and hold Wizard closer who nuzzled with Espresso and he looked relaxed and calm as the adults smiled and watched as they felt their lives were complete.

However little did they know Wizard had been through a lot of trauma and had severe problems with stuff and they would have to be patient and firm with raising this stubborn child and help him heal and understand what a family was.
