When I wake up the next day it's 7:45, my head is pounding and my back hurts, probably from the way I had slept. I sigh and pull myself out of bed, stretching my muscles before walking over to the bathroom. I wash my face to help wake myself up before I brush my hair and walk back to my closet, grabbing my uniform. I could go back to sleep if I wanted, seeing as I don't have a class until later this morning. I get dressed, putting my wand in my waistband before I walk out of my room. I walk down to the great hall and stop outside the doors to take a breath. I push them open and walk in, I can hear my peers whisper about me as I walk over to the Slytherin table. I take a seat next to Lorenzo and cast my eyes down to the table, I didn't want to see the looks of pity on everyone's faces.
"So, Sariah.. we were wondering if you were up to going to Hogsmeade this weekend? It's the first trip of the year." Jasmyn speaks up and I glance over at her, swallowing the food I had in my mouth before answering.
"I- um sure.. why not I don't think it could hurt anything," I say and shrug my shoulders, she and Lorenzo both smile at me before they start telling me about what I've missed curriculum-wise. Luckily Dumbledore told me my grades were not affected because of my absence, but that I would still need to take the time to learn them outside of class time.
"Alright, enough of the school stuff tell me all of the drama that's happened," I tell them and they glance at each other.
"Not much has been happening besides the usual. Well except one thing.. Lorenzo and I are um a couple now." Jasmyn says and I smile widely at them. "That's wonderful news, I'm happy for you two." I congratulate them and they smile at each other before looking back at me.
"Also, we did want to put it out there that, our relationship is an open one," Lorenzo speaks, looking at me and raising his eyebrows while Jasmyn holds a smirk on her face.
"Duly noted." I laugh lightly, we move the conversation to a more casual tone. I smile at them, fully appreciating that I'm back and get to enjoy these moments.
A few days later
Today is the day we're going to Hogsmeade, it's gotten pretty cold outside so I decided to dress warmly. I choose my house sweater, fleece-lined leggings, a pair of my boots, and lastly my scarf.

I change into them before sitting down at my vanity. I grimace at the dark bags under my eyes but sigh. I haven't been sleeping much, in fact, I think I've only slept once this week. I start doing my makeup, using foundation and concealer to hide my bags, and putting on mascara. I brush through my hair, deciding to leave it down for today. Just as I stand up, my door opens and Lorenzo walks in.
"Hello, beautiful," He greets me, hugging me. I smile and hug him back. "Are you ready for today?" He asks after pulling back and I nod my head, he smiles at me and starts pulling me with him.
