After The Pickup

This is the unknown conversation that happened between Gina and Ej after he surprised her by picking her up from the airport.

Gina's POV

Wow, my flight has been officially cancelled until tomorrow and I did not see this coming. My flights have had their fair shares of being delayed but never fully cancelled. Now I have to pay money for a Uber back to Ashlyn's and then again in the morning, good thing I have money saved up. At least Jack made today somewhat tolerable.

Gina says her goodbyes to Jack and heads over to the escalator, she doesn't like making eye contact with the few people who are in the airport as she's at the top of the escalator so she gets on her phone. As she's going down she hears an unexpected voice talk to her.

Ej: Excuse me, have you seen a Duke sweatshirt anywhere?

Gina: What are you doing at the airport?

Ej: Gotta show up for your peeps ya know.

Gina: Yeah.

Ej: Bring you back in the morning...oh uh also I brought you a granola bar, in case you were hungry *he gives it to Gina*.

Gina grabs the granola bar while Ej grabs both her suitcases and walks away leaving Gina in a shocked state. She could not believe her eyes, the Ej Caswell actually drove all the way to the airport to come and pick her up. He must've saw her story a little while ago but even then this took a lot. She had to snap herself out of her thoughts once she realized how far Ej had gone with her stuff. She laughed and quickly rushed over to catch up to him. He looked back and smiled at her as she rushed next to him. It didn't take long for them to get to the exit, Ej's car was parked right at the entrance. He opened the passenger door for Gina and then put her luggage inside of the trunk of his car. After he was done he hopped in the car.

Ej: Ok G buckle up, this car doesn't move until I know you're safe *he laughs*.

Gina: Ok Eej I hear you *she buckles up*. Ok I'm ready now *she laughs*.

Ej: Alright let's get you back home G *he smiles*.

Gina: Ok ok so what's the backstory Eej, you just so happened to see my post and immediately hopped up to come and get me?

Ej: That is exactly what happened G, how did you know *he laughs*?

Gina: Eej this is insane, this airport is almost an hour out and I'm checking my story and it just became an hour since I posted it. How did you get here so fast?

Ej: Well lucky for me I ran into no red lights and I may have did some speeding here and there and I don't mean like 80 in a 70. I did 75 *he chuckles* and it wasn't often.

Gina: Wow Eej I didn't know you were such a rule breaker *she nudges him*. What else have you been hiding from me?

Ej: *in his mind* my feelings for you. *outloud* nothing G but don't worry, you won't catch me even at the limit with you in the car. I'll keep you safe I promise *he smiles*.

Gina: I know you will Eej but I really can't thank you enough for this. I will be paying you back.

Ej: Uh uh uh that won't be happening. G if I didn't make you pay me back for a whole plane ticket, you think imma let you pay me back for something as simple as gas? G you got jokes *he laughs*.

Gina: Come on Eej let me do something please.

Ej: Gina you don't owe me anything for tonight or tomorrow morning okay? Honestly it's just good to see you face to face.
