Coconut has a role in Hindu rituals in almost every state of India(like breaking a coconut in front of God etc,)🥥well I am here going to talk about the part of coconut in rituals and traditions of Kerala people.
(I am more focusing on Hindu rituals that have a connection with Coconut, cause I don't know about other religions much).

This might can be a long and boring chapter..well just an alert kids😌.

Here in many temples, tender coconut leaves are used for decorating. Especially during festivals. I don't know is it normal but you know what the yellowish-green leaves are really beautiful and can create a unique vibe(atleast I felt like that).

🅿︎🅰︎🅳︎🅰︎🆈︎🅰︎🅽︎🅸︎- A folk dance and ritual art form in Kerala. The kolam(mask?)is made from natural ingredients. Well, you can see the tender coconut leaves in it. The rituals of it also have a lot of relation with Coconut like choottiveypu (burning of dry coconut leaves). (Tbh I don't know much about our ritual dance forms. so let's leave it😊)

Well apart from the temple rituals their is 𝘼𝙣 𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧-𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡. Well, I don't know how it is in other states of India,  but you know what when someone in our family died we cremate them in the Southern side of our yard. there are so many after-death rituals after that like Sanjayanam, adiyathiram, etc. And during one of such days, 𝙬𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙🙂. Don't forget ours is a land of Coconuts😌.

In Kerala, 🅿︎🅰︎🅻︎🅼︎ 🆂︎🆄︎🅽︎🅳︎🅰︎🆈︎is called Hosanna Njayar or Kuruthola perunnal. A ceremonial procession around the church, with people holding the tender coconut leaves(google shows its palm leaves, and my friend said it's kuruthola😶😶(tender coconut leaves)) and singing hosanna forms the highlight of the day.
I found this from google.
If you're a christian /Muslim/Hindu from Kerala, please help me,to write more about this subject.I don't know much about other religion.

Okay..these are the ones that came in my mind rn.their are many more if we search😅.
Thanks for reading. Images are from google.
