Chapter Twenty Nine

~ Next Morning ~

Last night was awesome. I got lots of band members numbers and made loads of new buddies, yay! I check my phone, Deanna has texted me!?!

Deanna: Im so sorry Star, my sister isnt able to do the rest of Warped tour which means neither am I. She got ill suddenly and we're having to go home. Im so sorry. 😭

Me: Oh my god Deanna, I hope your sister is ok! Its fine, it isnt your fault that you have to go. I'll stay intouch I promise, I'll text you and fill you in almost everyday ok?😭😘

Deanna: You better! You're my only friend in this world dammit!😭😘

Me: I will dont worry, are you coming over to say goodbye?😭😘

Deanna: Star the buses all started moving to the next destination last night, Im already gone. I guess this is goodbye, until we meet again! 👋🏻😭😘

Me: I had no idea! Goodbye Deanna, luvuuu!!! 👋🏻😭😘

Deanna: Luvuuuu 2 Star 👋🏻😭😘

And with that I turn off my phone and curl up in a ball and start crying. Im trying my best to do it silently but I fear people can hear me. Hopefully they all sleep through it and dont notice. My phone beeps, what the hell I thought I turned you off goddammit!?!

Dad: Star honey are you crying? 😕

Me: Yeah...😭

Dad: Why, whats happened!?! 😱

Me: Deanna had to go home because her sister is ill, she cant come on the rest of the tour. 😭

Dad: Im so sorry Star, I know you were really good friends with her. 😔

Me: I'll be fine, hopefully. I just need hugs 😭😭😭

Dad: Daddy hugs or hugs from a boy I dont know about!?! ✋🏻😤

Me: 😂😭 Daddy hugs.

Then Kellin silently hops out of his bunk and slides in next to me, wrapping his arms around me comfortingly. He kisses my head and keeps telling me everything will be ok. I cry into his shirt until the tears wont fall anymore.
"You ok now Star?" My dad asks sweetly.
I nod tiredly and curl up in a ball at his side "Im just tired now."
My dad nods and kisses my hair "Go to sleep Star, everything is going to be fine, I promise you. I love you Star."
I lean up and kiss his cheek "I love you too Dad." I whisper before curling back up into my previous ball shape and closing my eyes, letting myself drift off to sleep again.

~ *In Spongebob Voice* Several Hours Later ~

I wake up to find Kellin gone. He probably got up and went to talk to the guys. I stumble out of bed and flatten my hair before walking sleepily to the main area of the bus. All the guys say goodmorning and give me sympathetic smiles. I just smile weakly back and slump on the couch. Justin wraps an arm around me. "You ok Miss Connor?"
I nod and laugh slightly at his Terminator reference "Im good Mr Reese."
He smiles "Ready for the rest of the tour?"
I smile widely "Hell yeah!"
