Jean's Perspective:
Another day of workload of paperwork. I have finished four cups of coffee already and I still felt terrible. I had a headache, but I still managed to finish half of the paperwork and decided to let Kaeya handle the rest because he insisted. He said I looked like a complete zombie.
I threw my head back and stared at the ceiling blankly. All I could hear was the clock ticking until everything went black.
Lisa's Perspective:
I woke up and arrived slightly late. I was on my way to the library but I had the sudden urge to knock on her door. I shook my head at the thought. Jean knows I'd sometimes come in late but she never gets mad at me.
I entered the library and the air is full of the scent of old books. I ran my fingers along the spines of the books as I made my way to my desk. When I had already finished my paperwork, I decided to read the book that was just beside my desk.
It was the one Jean recommended.
I chuckled at the thought. Who would've thought, that the righteous and rigorous Dandelion Knight, and the Acting Grand Master of Mondstadt's Knights of Favonious, would have a liking for romantic novels?
I have been reading for almost half an hour when Barbara, Jean's little sister, knocked. She had a worried look plastered on her face.
"Barbara, sweetie, is everything alright?" I asked softly, slightly furrowing my eyebrows.
"Jean had passed out in her office again." She announced.
My eyes widened, I stood.
"But she's okay now, she's in her room," she smiled, "I just needed someone to look after her because I still have a lot left to do at the church, and you're the first person I thought of!" she fidgeted her fingers.
I nodded, "Okay, then."
I'm sure I can trust Ella to look after the library. She's a good kid after all.
~***~
Barbara came out of Jean's room after checking her temperature, "Her fever is really high, but as long as she gets some rest and take her medicine, I'm sure she'll be good to go."
We were discussing some minor changes of 'Who-will-take-care-of-What' outside Jean's room. Kaeya and Amber were somewhat arguing but still teamed up with each other.
"Don't worry, I'll take her place for the meantime," Kaeya nodded.
"I'll watch Klee then," Amber stuck out her tongue. Kaeya sighed. "But of course, Klee and I will help with the commissions."
"Stop acting like children, please," Barbara said, I laughed.
"Oh, and If possible, can you tell Razor to watch the library for me?" I asked.
"Sure!" Amber said.
"On behalf of my sister, I'll be counting on you all. You too, Noelle." Barbara.
"You can count on us, Master Barbara," Amber smiled and saluted to her. We laughed.
"Hey, stop that!"
Barbara really had good leadership skills despite her age. Hmm, I wonder who she takes after.
As soon as everyone left, I knocked and went inside Jean's room. The cold air of her room immediately overwhelmed me. I sat on the edge of her bed, looking at her as she peacefully sleeps.
