I Rather Be The Villain

Chapter 1

Mr. Bleak woke up to the sound of someone conversating around him. He opened his eyes letting the bright light pierce through.
"Where in the world am I?" He noticed the rusted up cuffs placed around his wrist.
"Hey what in the world is this?" A man dressed in a red cowl and sporting unusually pale skin stepped up to him.
"Ah, Mr. Bleak you're awake. My name is NanoWreck, Leader of Mach Alliance R, Protectors of the North American landscape,"the man said. Mr.Bleak stood up quickly and stepped towards NanoWreck.
"Listen, I don't care who you are. But having me in handcuffs is illegal unless you have a just reason."
"Oh, I do. You see Mr.Bleak you were involved in the murder of the superhero known as Commander Paradox. Now, seeing as how this an issue involving super powered beings it is within our right to prosecute you."
"Prosecute me?"
"Yes, that's right. You see you were an accomplice to Kanan Kreature. Now, he fired the shot but you didn't stop him. Thus, you are almost as guilty as him." NanoWreck started to hover around the room looking out the windows that surrounded it.
"Where is Kanan?"Mr.Bleak said nervously.
"He now resides in a high security cell at one of our bases. He is facing murder charges and might get the death penalty." NanoWreck hovered back towards Mr.Bleak and put on his blue sideded glasses.
"Death penalty? Oh , come on you wouldn't seriously do that." Mr. Bleak said looking down at his cuffs.
"Oh yes, I would. Killing someone is a serious offense. You might also face the same fate if you don't-
"If I don't what?" Mr.Bleak said cutting NanoWreck off.
"If you don't follow through on the alternative."
"What alternative?"
"Mr. Bleak, you are still just a kid. According to your file you are only about seventeen. It would be a shame to waste your life."
"I'm listening."
"There is a program to Rehabilitate worthy super villains."
"So what you try to make me a good guy?"
"Yes, sir. There is potential in you and its time you realized it."
"I rather be the villain,"The young evil doer said rudely.
"It's either this or ending up like your mentor." Mr.Bleak rolled his eyes and and let out a deep teen aged agression like sigh.
"All right,when do we start?"
"We don't start. However, you and your new mentor start today."
The door to the room opened and in she stepped. Her body was slimmed and her hair flew back in curls thats origin lie under her mask.
"You!"They both shouted at eachother in unison. They both geared up to fight. The girl pulled out her baton and Mr.Bleak powered up his hands with dark blue energy.
"Hold it you two. Neither one of you are gonna fight,"NanoWreck said stepping in between them.
"What stops me from making her my first kill?"Mr.Bleak said.
"Yeah, and what stops me from killing him?"the girl said. Nanowreck pushed them apart.
"The fact that you don't want to die,Mr. Bleak. And you know that Commander Paradox woulda wanted this to happen, Dream Justice."
"Yeah, Yeah, Nano."
"Don't smart off to me! Now you two shake hands." Nanowreck took off the cuffs and Mr.Bleak put out his hand for a handshake. Dream Justice did the same and they connected. He smiled at her and her face got red with rage. T-Thud. A sudden kick slid across his face knocking him back.
"Remeber a handshake can turn into a take down ,"She said putting out her hand to help him up. He gripped onto her hand and lifted up off the ground.
"Yeah, thanks I'll remember that,"He said trying to rub the pain out of his head.
"So how long does this whole mentor thing last, Nano?"Dream Justice said sitting down in a aqua colored chair that faced the center of the room.
"As long as it takes."
"But, But -
"No buts young lady. Remember this for the greater good." She folded her arms across her and let out a sigh.
"Fine, can we just get going with this?"
"Sure, Dream Justice but remember you're his mentor. So mentor him." The teenaged girl shot up from the chair and made her way to the center of the room. She motioned for her new trainee to do the same and he sluggishly followed through.
"Hold on, Vile Boy were going for a ride." The floor around them started to turn a bright shade of green. Mr. Bleak tried to back away but she pulled him back.
"You got three seconds, Vile Boy. Three, Two , One-
The next thing he knew he was falling out of the sky. The force was like nothing he had ever felt before. His hair flew back and his arms spread out into a wing like pattern.
"Are you trying to murder me?"He said trying to yell through the wind.
"Maybe!"She yelled back as she made her way closer to him.
"I-I really don't think this is ethical. You're gonna stop us from falling, right?"
"I'll think about it." Mr. Bleak could see the tops of buildings getting closer and closer to them. His heart started to punch his chest making loud thuds pulse through him. He closed his eyes and hoped for the best.
"I got you!" He felt the sudden touch of her hand grip his shoulder.
"Get ready to land,"She wispered in his ear. He couldn't bare to look at the scene. In seconds he knew he would be a pancake on the top of a roof and she would be the one having to flip him over.
"Well, I guess I was gonna die sometime,"He said. She wrapped her legs around him and gripped his shoulders. He realized he was no longer falling but simply floating in the air.
"Lesson one, trust your fellow superhero,"She said. He opened his eyes as she safely put him on the top of a roof.
"Thanks for scaring me like that!"He shouted up at her as she landed. She chuckled and shrugged at him.
"Hey it's all about trusting me."
"Trusting you? You tried to kill me!"
"Oh, stop being a baby. If I was going to kill you I woulda already done it. If you want to be a hero you got to learn to trust me."
"That's the point. I don't want to be a hero. My mission in life is to be the villain."
"Why would you want to be a villain. All they do is destroy lives." Mr.Bleak's face turned into a scowl.He began to get hot and his eyes turned dark.
"Oh yeah well heroes do the same thing. They are no better. They kill and maim all for their so called greater good!"he shouted.
"Hey chill, chill. Look I don't know what heroes you've been dealn with but that's not us. Now in order for us to trust each other we should get to know each other better." How bout we start with first names?"
"Do you think I'm stupid. Giving a way my first name is like giving away where I live." She facepalmed herself and let out a grunt.
"Oh stop it. Look, I'll start. My name is Kara and you are?"
"I , I'm Collin," He said stuttering in fear. She smiled and shook his hand.
"See now was that so hard?"
"I guess not but I still don't think you superheroes should be trusted."
"Well, you're gonna have to learn to get around that then. Cus, I'm your only hope right now."
"Yeah I guess, so um whats our next lesson?" A sudden buzzing sound alerted then both.
"Oh, Crap I got to go home!"She said realizing what time it was.
"Wait what, you gotta go home? But you have to mentor me, Right?"
"Sorry, but I got to go it's my friends Birthday. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Wait, how will I find you."
"Don't worry I have a way of finding people."
"Um, Okay." He spoke those final words and she was gone. There he stood on top of a roof alone and really wishing this was all just some weird dream.
