It's been a month since we stayed by Alexandria. Kris's birthday is coming up soon and I wanted to get her a present. I was thinking of throwing a party for her, but I gotta inform everyone else.
I get up from my bed and go to take a shower. Once I was done I get dressed and head downstairs. I walk into the kitchen and see both Kasey and Lina making breakfast with the other kids in the dining area.
Charlie: Good morning girls.
I kiss both of their cheeks and begin to make some coffee.
Kasey/Lina: Morning!
I wait a few minutes and grab a mug from the cabinet. Once the coffee is finished I pour it in my mug and put some sugar and creamer. I grab my plate and go to sit at the table.
Charlie: Hey guys. What are you doing?
I noticed they were a lot quieter than usual. Usually they are pumped in the mornings and are impatient to eat.
Charlie: Kids, how are you feeling.
Chase: A bit tired.
Lina: Now that he mentions it I'm feeling a bit woozy as well.
Kasey: So do I...

Charlie: Ok you guys eat and then go straight back to bed.
They all nod and begin to eat.

I decided to go on an XP run since everyone else was asleep. I head down the road and decide to take a short cut through the woods. If only I had known how much of a bad idea that was.
As I'm walking I hear a huge explosion go off. Me being me, I decided to head over considering how much XP I met get from the zombies.
Once I get there I see that it's an exploded compound. But it's different, instead of regular zombies they look like mutated. They're not like those evolved zombies either.

Charlie: What the fuck...
They're were hundreds of them.
Charlie: S1 what the fuck happened here, and what are those things...!
S1: It would seem that, those particular zombie are giving away huge levels of radiation. Like it's fused with it and made it into that disgusting abomination.
Charlie: Well how much radiation would you say?
S1: Just being near it could make the adult human male pass out. A human touching it would kill that person within minutes.

Charlie: Well how long would I last...?
S1: Well that mainly depends on your level. You being part dragon has given you an advantage. The radiation won't give you that much of an affect, but you might feel a bit tired afterwards.
Charlie: Damn.. will I survive.

Charlie: What do you mean probably?!
S1: I mean you might live or you might die. 50/50.
Charlie: I have the most useless system in the world.

I check my stats and make sure I'm completely prepared.

Charlie: Ok I'm ok on stats and I have some potions just in case.
I take out my sword and use my stealth skill. I sneak around and take out all the zombies I run into with as much silence I could muster.
I get multiple notifications and but ignore them. I take as much as I could before it started to get dark. I managed to put out the fire and head back to the house.
Little did I know, I brought something along the way. Once I got back to the house I felt as if I was being followed. I ignored it but that changed when I felt a knife plunge into my stomach.
I pull it out and watch as my health depletes.
Charlie: Poison...
I then felt a sword held at my throat.
???: Don't move, or you no longer have a head.
I look up and see a cloaked figure standing in front of me.
Charlie: Wow, a sneak attack. To scared to face me head on.
???: Watch your tongue! I could take your life away within seconds!
I just roll my eyes and try to stand to my feet, but I couldn't.
Charlie: What the hell... why can't I move?!
I could ever so slightly see a smirk appear on the figures face.
Charlie: How could your puny knife penetrate my armor!
???: That knife is a one of a kind. It could slice through anything and everything.
I fall to my side, the paralysis taking full affect on my body.
Charlie: It was you wasn't it. You're the one who made them fall asleep.
???: What?
Charlie: It was you, wasn't it...?
???: I don't know what the hell you're talking about I'm only here to take your loot.
I could feel my fingers twitch a little, a sign that the affect is wearing off. I could feel my movement come back to me as I stood to my feet and ripped of the figures head.
Charlie: How dare you mock me. Disgusting.
I drop the head on the ground and lit it on fire along with the body.
Charlie: If they weren't the reason behind the sleeping then what was?
S1: I guess we have another threat to overcome again huh.
Charlie: I guess so.
I walk into the house whilst pulling the knife out of my body, and man did that hurt. I quietly head upstairs into my room and took a shower. I wrapped some gauze around my wound since potions weren't working. All they did was numb the pain.
Charlie: This'll come in handy.
I clean off the knife and change into my boxers and sports bra, and lie down next to my girls. They cuddle into me as I pull them closer.
Charlie: I'm going to protect you, all of you. Even if I lose my life in the process. (Whisper)
I kiss their foreheads and let sleep overwhelm me.
