It's been a couple of days since we found out about Kromodian's curse. And it's been days since we've been trying to figure out a way to reverse it or at least stop it's affects. I was currently in my potions room, mixing a few components and ingredients together.
I had sent Tjorus out for some more while the girls continued their training. And because I couldn't exactly help them out with it, I assigned Monty and Myya to do so in my place.
Just as I began mixing the liquid around, smoke started emitting from the cauldron.
S: I don't that should be happening.
Charlie: Really? I hadn't noticed!
I groaned before darting out the room, making sure to close the door behind me. It wasn't a second later that a loud explosion resonated around the house.
A slight rumble shook the house when Tjorus and the girls came rushing into the room.
Lina: What the hell's going on in here!
I gave a nervous smile.
Charlie: Oh nothing, just..a minor setback...
Tjorus: Minor...?
I leaned off the wall and peaked back inside the room. The entire place was filled with smoke and the walls were marked black.
Though it was slowly reversing itself back to its clean and normal state.
Kasey: Are sure this is going to work?
She seemed skeptical as she stepped further into the room.
Charlie: Of course. We've got the world's strongest wizard in the room.
Tjorus: I'm flattered Charlie, but I don't think-
Charlie: I was talking about me.
I smiled as a scowl took over his face.
Tjorus: Fine then, I'll be in here trying out new spells.
He huffed before shoving past me. I chuckled and turned back to look at my girls. The smile on my lips faded as I noticed the solemn look on their faces.
I walked over and place a hand on each of their cheeks.
Charlie: This is gonna work. I promise.
I smiled a placed a kiss on both their foreheads. I brought them into a hug, wrapping my arms around their shoulders. They gripped onto the back of my shirt and nuzzled into my chest.
After another minute they let go and kissed my jaw. They left the room, presumably to get back to training.
S: You shouldn't lie to your partners.
Charlie: Who says I'm lying.
I grumbled as I stood beside Tjorus.
S: You just lied to their faces.
They scoffed.
Charlie: Whatever..
