Chapter 1 Demon lessons

I enter the Phantomhive mansion with a heavy sigh.Pluto comes charging down the stairs.Colliding into me.New Moon follows behind.Sebastian loved New Moon surprisingly,he commented that she had beautiful black silky fur.Sebastian meets me downstairs with a book in hand."Demon Training."He said simply picking me up."Where were you anyway?"He asked."Went into town,heard a screaming child,helped child get home and she didn't find out that I was a demon."I say with a smile.He does his signature smile.We head upstairs to a room to practice demon studies."Today we are going to cover combat and weaponry."He said.He grabs a bow and arrow,aims,fires.I catch it a few inches from my skull."Good."He replies.He sprints at me then does a side kick I dodge grabbing his ankle with a grip strong as diamonds."Raven."Stated Sebastian.I was confused for a second then a laughter comes from the top of the bookshelves.It was Grell.I release the leg.Grell was falling to the ground with chainsaw ripped and ready.I catch it a centimeter from my skull.I do a back spring using my legs only kicking Grell in his bottom jaw.I land on my toes and the balls of my fingers at a crouched position as the chainsaw falls to the ground,but just before it could enter the floor I catch the handle stopping it in its tracks.Grell was on the ground shocked.Sebastian applauds behind us."Your learning a lot quicker than I thought."He said.I help Grell up.An I turn and leave.Sebastian follows behind."Are you alright?"He asks.I shake my head.He stood there waiting for me to explain."When I lived in Texas I was always different from the start I ran quicker,thought quicker anything I did was quicker.One day I was walking home and two men with sticks showed up.They started to beat me up and damaged my whole world.Thats what they were trying to do to the young girl.I just...l felt like I was protecting myself but in the past.Thats why I trained myself to fight,so nothing like that would happen again."I finish holding my hands over my ears to block out the screams.Sebastian takes of his spectacles that he wears.He hugs me telling me that who ever did that paid the price,but it didn't fell right at all.
My Demon symbol started to glow.A soul worth taking.Sebastian told me three years ago that I was a heart demon,they work different than normal demons.They can take any soul they wish.Me and Sebastian have a pattern that we do.I get a soul one day and he gets it the next(not week wise,soul wise).Today was my day.We both go together and chase the victim but I have to withdraw the soul and devour it myself.Either way I have to do the dirty work.Sebastian can only take a soul if he is in a contract.We run out to London searching for the soul.
