The story is for childrens, but when you grown up you see with other eyes, you don't se just a little and sady story, but you see beautifull story with metaphors for the real life, for example: The Little Prince is little not just because your age, but becase he live in a little and precious world, the rose is your love, but a inocent love, a love of two kids, the rose is a little irritating with Little Prince, but when you is a kid, the boys see the girl like that, even though a boy likes a girl, he see her how The Little Prince see the rose, they love each other, but they don't kown how love.

The baobabs are the problem: When you is a kid you see jus borng trees how destroy everthing, but if you see with more attention, you understand they are just little seeds, but when grown up tranfroms in a big problem, so you need have caution for the problems, even though little.

And when he go for Earth he see a foxy, who he captive, and when she need go, the foxy wanna cry, it's very sad, not because he live the foxy (because the fox can survive), but because he don't wanna see again him new friend, never, and this is sad, and I guess, this means for you have caution when you want to get attached to someone, because the friendship is not too simple, and the love much less.
