Chapter 3 continued...

Not soon after I had fallen asleep the sun rose. I got out of bed, ate my breakfast, and went downstairs, yes I know how that sounds I ate my breakfast upstairs but we had a two-story house and the refrigerator just happened to be in the living room. My parents were down there. They smiled at me said good morning and went back to their daily work. I thought about what I had just encountered. I stared down at my breakfast bowl and thought. I wondered, "who were they, what were they, what were they doing in Ireland".

I just stared and thought, "are they going to come back".I shook my head and knew I had to forget about it. I put my bowl into the sink and started to wash it. Once I had finished I went outside I thought about going back into the forest of horrors. But I decided that I would do that at the dead of night when my parents were asleep and I couldn't get into trouble.

But then I started to think," what about the sheriff, what's he going to think is he going to believe me".I walked down the path down to old jonesy's ice cream shop. I walked past the beach and into my friend Jonathan's house to ask him a question. He opened the door and invited me in .I told him my encounter in the forest of horror. He started to laugh but as soon as he saw the look of seriousness in my face he stopped and asked if I was serious . Of course I am ,I said why would I be lying". "Never mind about that, he said "what are you going to do about it now"."I'm going back in there Jonathan", I said I have to finish what I started".

He looked at me like I was crazy and said,"did you encounter the ghost of no return"? "I did ,I said "and I escaped out there alive". ,"You were lucky ,he said "legends say that once you encounter him you'll never be the same". "Well I'm certainly not",I said ,"I'm going back in there to face him again"Well good luck and I hope you make it back out alive", he said. I left his house and headed home.
