A week had passed since the whole Sophie issue.

He was being treated as a jerk by some of the freshmen, mostly those who were close with that little hoe.

There was this one time that he got called to the guidance counselor and principal's office to settle this issue. Fortunately enough, even the adults could tell that there really was nothing to blame to him since Milo technically didn't do anything wrong.

Milo was depressed throughout that whole week and I felt so bad for him for having to feel that way.

I wasn't the only one though.

Despite Sophie's friends spreading rumors around school, Milo still had plenty of friends that was willing to help him get through the day. He also had his fans defending for him.

But even so, I know that none of them was really able to help him out of the shithole he was trapped in.

I approached Milo, who was trying to get his locker open, after I got my English book from mine.

"Need help?" I greeted him with a cheery smile. He smiled back at me and refused to accept my help.

"I can do this," he slammed his shoulder to his locker a couple of times until voila, it finally did jerked open.

"See?" He confidently bragged. I rolled my eyes at him then laughed.
When he took out his History book, some random freshman hater of his walked by and yelled something mean to him... again.

It has been like that for the past couple of days.

I noticed Milo's jaw stiffened. His fists were clenched as he closed his eyes and did some breathing exercises.

It was my recommendation for him to do breathing exercises to calm him down, and I'm very much glad he actually listened to me. He did mention that was very effective for him, and that made me happy.

Once he calmed down, he slammed his locker door shut.

"Let's go. I'll walk you to your class," he cleared his throat.

"Alex!!" Another voice echoed through the hallway. I couldn't see who it was at first until they made their way passed the crowd.

It was Laura waving her hand as she ran towards me. Sarah and Ken were trailing behind her.

"Here comes the trio," Milo snickered as he whispered that to me. I nudged his shoulder, rolled my eyes, then smiled.

Laura stopped in front of me and froze a bit when she realized Milo was also in front of her.

Sarah smiled at both of us, while Ken didn't even look at me.

I don't know why but after the whole dinner thing with my mom, I started feeling this awkward tension between the two of us. Well, he would talk to me but whenever Milo is around, that's the time the awkward tension shows up.

"H-hi Milo," Laura smiled shyly. She was saying that to Milo but her eyes were on me. I forced myself to smile, even though deep inside I was feeling a little bit jealous especially since Milo said hi back and complimented her outfit.

Looking at how Laura's smile widened, I knew right away that her heart's probably doing a salsa inside her chest.

"Good thing you're here Milo," Sarah chimed in. "We have good news. We found a way to clear your name."

"What?" Milo asked.

Sarah smiled, glad to have caught his attention. "Look, I don't really care about you. But I care about Alex. So I'm doing this to help her and not you. Okay?"
