It was incredible to even imagine, let along think Bellatrix was capable of such acts.
In your mind's eye, it could only be believed unless you witness it with your very own eyes. The thing is, it was almost too easy to take notice on how strange Bellatrix was acting around everyone, specifically towards you and you wanted nothing more then to know why.
Bellatrix had been your best friend since birth, growing up together in diapers surely gave you a much powerful friendship. What you had just seen was something very much unexpected, what you saw was Bellatrix had beaten up a another friend of yours, doing enough damage to her as she was now hospitalized. There were absolutely no words that can describe the way you felt at the moment. Bellatrix's eyes flickered over to you once she noticed your presence and as a horrid expression was plastered on her face, only now just realizing that you had seen what she had done. Silence fills in between you before she had become the first to speak up.
"Y/n... I..." She starts, that was when you interrupted her.
"Is this what it comes down to? What did she ever do to you? I don't recall a single moment she did you wrong."
Her expression changes in a matter of seconds from horror to anger, almost blind rage as if you were siding differently then her. You watch as she grips her wand, causing you to flinch back a little ways before pulling yours out and casted a visible shield in front of you. Things got heated quickly after that.
"What's this? Do you really think I'd ever hurt you? I know I messed up on this one, and it's only because of the way she spoke about you."
"What did she say?"
"That you don't need to know. I'm not going to allow you any knowledge of what was said. I need to protect you."
With that being said, you couldn't resist letting on how your cheeks flushed a light shade color upon hearing those words. The truth was, you too had gained feelings for Bellatrix and because you were afraid of saying anything would ruin your friendship, you kept it within you and it was becoming more impossible then it probably should to hold it all down. During this little argument, you both stared into each other's glossy eyes before she spoke once again.
"I have something I've been wanting to tell you.." her voice trails off.
"What?"
"I'm not sure how you'll take this so I'll just come right out and say it. I like you, Y/n. Like, I really like you more then just a friend." She breaks eye contact with you, staring down as she continues.
"I... love you."
Upon hearing this, it was a shock of surprise at first, as it was the last thing you'd expect her to say at all. The next thing you get was happiness and excitement towards it, helping you to build your self confidence in confessing your own feelings for her, in which you return.
"I love you too, Bellatrix Lestrange."
That was when you shared your first ever kiss, and on top of all that, both your parents were thrilled to know you had started dating. Neither of you had known it, but your parents often spoke about how they wanted and hoped for you both to eventually start dating.
...and in the end, that wish came true for them, giving them the happiness they longed for what seemed like forever, now.
