Third Person's POV

Moving out was awkward, painful and all the worst things you could imagine.

Taehyung was the one who decided to move out the next day; bags packed, boxes filled.

Working at a huge firm, Taehyung had to travel to places a lot. The most visted one being Busan.

He had suggested to move there with Jeongguk's family being there as well, but it couldn't work out since Jeongguk had settled in Seoul.

Constant visits made Taehyung rent out a one bedroom apartment for the time he always visited.

He started off a few days staying at Jeongguk's, but not wanting to be a burden, he rented out a place.

Maybe in hindsight, it was a good deal.

Taehyung dragged his luggage to the door, hands gripping the handle.

It hurt. A lot.

Their golden years were spent together in love. They were so happy.

Like Jeongguk said, it truly was a shame that they didn't last a decade. That would have been a story to tell the kids.

He took a sharp breath, watching Jeongguk walk down just looking at Taehyung with sadness.

"When will you be moving out?" He asked, swallowing down all the bubbling bitter emotions.

"I'm not."

Taehyung was confused.

He had assumed Jeongguk would move out too since they bought this apartment together.

He also hoped Jeongguk would move back to Busan and maybe, just maybe they'd cross paths.

"I can't leave everything–our memories–behind. I'm not that strong, Tae. And you're right, I do have it easy but I don't earn as much for a bit of the work I do. I can't afford an apartment in Seoul on my own," Jeongguk smiled sadly, looking down to hide his teary eyes.

Taehyung felt terrible. He had insulted Jeongguk's work, something he had worked extremely hard for and he was doing amazing.

"Jeongguk...you know I didn't mean—"

"It's alright, Taehyung. I understand.

Jeongguk always understands.

"I'll see you then...?" Taehyung said, unsure.

He was longing for a positive answer. Some sign that they'd meet, cross paths and maybe fix them when things were alright.

"I'm not sure..." Jeongguk whispered, walking towards Taehyung.

He wrapped his arms around Taehyung's neck, pulling him in a tight embrace.

"Thank you, Taehyung. Thank you for being all my firsts."

They were no sobbing, hands wrapped tightly around each other, sniffles and sobs.

"Even though we aren't together anymore...You will forever be my always," Jeongguk whispered, leaving a lingering kiss on Taehyung's cheek.

"I'll miss you," Taehyung mumbled, showing no signs of letting Jeongguk slip away from his arms.

Jeongguk smiled, pulling away, Taehyung's arms still around him. He pushed his arms down, trying to leave the grip.

"Let me go, Taehyung. For both of us," He mumbled.

And Taehyung let go.
