Jennie's POV

I drive like crazy to the hospital. I see too many people are gathering outside. Most of them are reporters, some police are present also. I parked my car before entering in the hospital through the back door to avoid any kind of attraction.

On my way I saw the secretary of Hong Soojoo. She must be here already. I can't help but to feel dreadful whenever Soojoo is around. She have a very calm yet dangerous aura. I can feel it but can't pin point what's her motive.

"Where is Jisoo?" I asked Soojoo's secretary.

"In the doctor's chamber, talking about discharging Ms. Manoban's body for funeral." She said in a monotone voice with a blank expression.

I didn't wait and walked straight in the Dr. Kang's room.

"Jisoo sign the papers. Lisa's uncle is gonna be here in a few hours." I heard Soojoo's voice.

I enter in the room making three of them surprise. I glared at Soojoo who is wrapping her arm around Jisoo's shoulder. She is still sobbing, her eyes are red puffy. There's tiredness and exhaustion visible on her face.

"What are you doing here? Weren't you in police station?" Soojoo asked looking surprised and scared.

I didn't replied to her and turned around to talk to Dr. Kang.

"Doctor give us 10 mins. We will be back." I said then hold Jisoo's hand and pulled her outside.

We went to a empty place so we can talk properly. I didn't heard a single sound from Jisoo as I dragged her. When we stopped she didn't hesitated to hug me tightly and crying on my shoulder.

I caress her back to calm her, "ssh.. I'm here."

"S-she left me Jen.. what am I gonna do now!? I only had her.. how am I gonna live without her..? I love her so much Jen! How can she leave me like this!?" She hugged me tighter and saying those painful words.

I can feel my own heart is getting stabbed by those words. It's giving me pain to listen that how much she loves Lisa and can't live without her. I love her but I need to endure this.

"Jisoo look at me.." I cupped her cheeks, "I promised you I won't leave you side. You need to calm down and listen to me carefully." I said wiping her tears.

"I want forensic report of Lisa's body. I want to know how she.. died. My personal investigators will do this. I'm sure this is not a simple case of brain stroke. I want your permission to let me get the forensic reports--" I was cut off by Soojoo.

"Jisoo don't listen to her. She is nothing but a cunning fox. Lisa suffered a lot, now let her be in peace." She said glaring at me.

I didn't give her answer, "Jisoo please understand, something is wrong. Trust me this time. Give Lisa justice."

Jisoo nodded, "inform your privet investigators and police. I want to know what happened."

"What the hell are you talking Jisoo!? Dr. Kang said--" Jisoo glared at her harshly.

"I clearly know what she said. I still want to know again. If you won't help then please don't try to stop either." She said before turning to me.

I can feel Soojoo's eyes darkened in anger. She stared at me like she is about to kill me. She walked away without saying another word. I need to tell Yeji to keep close eyes on her.

We didn't wasted anytime as I called Yeji and the police to investigate the case. Me and Jisoo are currently waiting for Yeji to come in the cafe nearby the hospital.

I looked at Jisoo, who is looking outside with an emotionless face. It's already night. I hold her hand and squeeze it gently.

"I know words will not give you comfort right now, but I want to say that no matter what happens I'll be by your side. Maybe you'll doubt on me--"

"If I doubted on you, I wouldn't listen to your single words. Do not talk nonsense." She said coldly but didn't let get of my hand. I smiled slightly feeling a bit happy.

"Hello Jennie.." it's Yeji, she sit down before greeting us.

She give us her phone and played a video. We can see a tall girl with mask, cap and black coat went in Lisa's room. The time is before Jisoo arrived. After a few mins later she hurriedly come out but tripping on the floor before running away in the opposite direction. A few seconds later Jisoo come from the other direction.

"It's a murder. Some of the hospital stuffs are involved in this. This video is deleted but I still managed to recovered it." Yeji said giving me an envelop.

I opened the envelop to find the original copy of the fake power of attorney with my fake sign.

"This is made by Chungha. I believe both of your cases are related." Yeji said with a firm voice.

"W-what? Who.. did this?" Jisoo asked confused. I'm as confused as her.

"I can't say it right now. I need more proof and evidence to confirm that person. For now I should warn both of you to be careful, someone will try to harm you.." I feel Jisoo holding my hand tightly.

"Is there any result come out about Lisa?" Jisoo asked again.

Yeji nodded, "that person inject a poison in Lisa's body. That poison clot the blood in brain causing brain stroke. Dr. Kang involved in this, i already arrested her. We will get information from her."

We bid good bye after talking. Me and Jisoo walking back to the car to go home.

"Jisoo it's better if you live with me for awhile. You heard what Yeji said and also you need someone right now." I said looking at her.

"But I don't want to bother you."

"You are not bothering me okay? Let's go to my house now." I said opening the car door for her.

She stared at me, "how am I gonna repay you Jennie? You are doing a lot for me." She said in a broken voice.

"You don't need to. What I had done before to you, I still need to pay back. Besides what are friends for?" I said smiling at her then pat her head.

She smiled slowly, "thank you."

Bang!

A loud gunshot heard and the windshield of the car beside us broke.

"Down!!" I shouted pulling Jisoo down on the ground. Another gunshot and my car window break.

Jisoo screamed in fear. I saw a black Mercedes speed up as a person with a hand gun get in as soon as the police come running towards us.

"Are you okay Miss!?" One of officer asked as the others run towards the Mercedes.

I nodded pulling Jisoo up who is still scared at holding me tightly.

"Someone trying to harm both of you. We will post police to guard both of your house." The officer said and walked away.

Whoever it is, I won't let anyone hurt Jisoo. I'll protect her no matter what situation I'm in.

"Let's get out of here please." Jisoo begged.

I nodded before informing the officer and drive away as a police car guarded us.
