"This is her," she smiled, realizing this was a person's voice.

"This is Jeremy Lawson, the Huntsville Hallows's assistant coach. I read your analysis that you had given Coach Simmons, and it needs a more in depth explanation. From what I gathered, this could tremendously make our team much better. Is there any chance you're free tomorrow to explain your notes further to the other coaches and myself?" He articulated his words clearly so she couldn't mishear anything he was saying.

Her eyes went wide. There was no way this was happening to her. She tried calming her nerves, but the feeling wasn't going anywhere.

"Of course, Mr. Lawson. Thank you so much for taking your time to read it. I didn't know if y'all would take it the wrong way. I didn't mean any offense to your team in any way!" she clarified.

"I certainly didn't take it that way. I'm always open to criticism for both myself and the team. We practice at four thirty tomorrow evening," he informed her.

"Yes sir, I am. Thank you so much. I will see you then," she said her goodbye and hung up the phone.

A wave of happiness sprang over her entire body. She loved hockey with her whole heart and being able to be a part of it was a once in a lifetime chance.

She stood up too quickly and her vision went dark. She didn't mind her low iron, but it made her unable to walk for a few steps almost every time she needed to go somewhere. When she could see again, she rushed back to her dorm. The adrenaline surged through her. She made it to her room in an insane amount of time.

Breathing heavy, she called out Madison's name.

"I'm in here. What is it?" her friend called from the bathroom.

Alia didn't care what she was doing; she opened the bathroom door.

"Hey! I'm trying to go pee! What's so important that you need to invade my privacy?!" Madison tried covering herself up.

"They called me back!" Alia yelled. She was a girl, too, so her best friend using the bathroom was nothing new.

"No way!" Madison yelled back. "Now get out so I can finish and you can explain yourself to me."

Alia did as she was told and sat on her bed. She had a stuffed bear to hold on to as she waited. She heard the sink water cut off. Her body couldn't stop moving, she was that excited.

"Did you drink thirty coffees before coming here?" Madison laughed as she sat on her own bed across from Alia's.

"No. Just let me tell you!"

The girls talked and got ready for bed after a while.

She took a long time to fall asleep. This was all new to her. She already was a pretty anxious person when it came to change. She still didn't expect much to come out of the opportunity; just being able to help was all she needed to be excited for it.

She woke up tired due to the terrible sleep she had gotten. She took a long shower and washed her face. She brushed her teeth before leaving for her first class. Everyone she knew advised against taking morning classes in college. They all had told her she was going to despise it. Though, it was the opposite for her. She loved getting all of her classes done and out of the way, by two pm. Her first class was at eight, and Madison's was at ten. She would always leave their dorm quietly to let her friend sleep in. She knew she'd hear about it later if Madi woke up to her noise. Alia would rather not take an earful of a bad attitude if it meant all she had to do was be quiet.
