The Portal

Ophelia and Delilah were twin sisters. They were 19 but since their house was not ready yet they were staying at their parents' house.

It was a chilly October night, the sisters were sleeping in their room. Around midnight Ophelia was awoken by a strange light blue light and a weird noise. Once awoken she noticed something weird: it looked like a whirlpool. She immediately woke up her sister to make her sees that thing. They both stared at it for a while in complete silence. "Let's go through it" Delilah suddenly proposed. "No! Are you crazy? We don't know where this thing will bring us to!" Protested Ophelia. Delilah was curious: she wanted to know what was on the other side. Ophelia gave up and approved the sister's idea. They dressed up and prepared a backpack each with things that might need. Once they were ready they stand in front of the portal and looked at each other. "Ready?" Asked Delilah, her sister nodded "ready".  But before they could go in the whirlpool a book came out of it flying and land on the floor. The sisters looked at it surprised. The book then proceeded to open up by itself to a specific paragraph, the sisters looked closer: "Portals and other dimensions" was the title that Ophelia read out loud. "Cool" exclaimed Delilah with a smile. The sisters decided to read that paragraph before passing through the portal. I'm the end Ophelia decided to take the book with them and also to take a notebook each in which writing stuff about the place they were about to visit. "This is so exciting!" Exclaimed Delilah who was looking forward this new adventure.
Now the sisters were really ready to go through that mysterious whirlpool. They took each other hands and stepped inside it. Everything went white and the sisters closed their eyes for the too much light. Once they opened it again they weren't in their room anymore. They turn and saw the portal closing behind them.
"Well, we did it. Now there's no time to regret it" stated Delilah.
