It had been a boring day. It was strange because nothing was out of the ordinary but it was just unpleasant. (Y/N) laid on her bed, her white fan attached to the white popcorn textured ceiling staring right back at her. It had been a long day at school and it seemed like the perfect day to sink into the floor and disappear. Nothing seemed real to her anymore so she couldn't bring herself to care about anything. Before she could continue questioning her day she heard a small knock on her door breaking her out of the small trance she was in. (Y/N) lifted herself up with her elbows before responding with a small "yes?" She soon saw her mothers head peek in, she was wearing a small warm smile that for some reason she couldn't get used to. "Hey (N/N) I have to go run some errands and take your brother Daniel to his friends house, he's gonna be spending the night and as far as I know your other brother Alex won't be out of work till around one." The girl only nodded as she thought her mother was done but when she saw that she wasn't leaving she waited. She followed her mothers gaze around the room noticing that she was staring at the mounds of clothes in a corner of her room. The girl with (E/C) eyes looked back at her mother and waited for her to speak. "(N/N) I've already told you that you should clean your room. You should really listen to me and get to that before it gets worse.... there's food in the kitchen. Text me or your brother Alex if you need anything.... ill get going now, bye I um I love you."
Soon after that her mother left closing the door behind her. (Y/N) only stared at her plain white door blinking for a minute before letting her back hit her soft but somehow still unconfutable mattress again. She didn't have a great relationship with her parents. She didn't hate them or anything of the sorts, they just weren't there for her. She was a middle child and the only girl at that. Since she was the only girl her father never really bothered to form a strong relationship with her but instead was very overprotective of her, her father mostly took liking with her other brothers. She thought that because she was the only girl she would have a better relationship with her mother but sadly her mother was a workaholic and she felt like she knew nothing about her mother and vice versa. (Y/N) finally decided to sit up after a while of staring at her ceiling fan as if they were having a staring contest, which she lost of course. She finally stood up and started folding her clothes sorting out which ones were clean and which ones weren't. She made a note to self to do laundry before her mom got home as if her mom saw that she didn't do laundry she would have to wait till her mother was out. After what seemed like an hour she finally was almost done and all she had to do was take the pile of dirty dishes she had gathered over the past week and take them to the sink.
She picked up the dishes trying to make it only a one trip to the kitchen. After picking up all the dishes she walked out of her room and to the kitchen, the floorboards crying as she stepped on them making them echo around the empty house. As she put the dishes in the sink she looked at the window above, It had only given her a view of the street that always seemed empty the occasional car passing every now and then. She lived on the edge of the neighborhood but there was still quite a bit a land before you reached the creepy street so it would take her a bit of a run if she wanted to reach it. The street was placed in a weird area and it seemed really eerie. The forest that was on the other side of the road did not help its case. The girl only shrugged as she turned around and made her way back to her room. She hated her room, for multiple reasons but one of the main reasons was that it was always either too hot or too cold, never in between. She hated it so much she even tried to ask her younger brother, Daniel, if he wanted to switch rooms which he sadly denied because he knew that she really did get one of the worst rooms in the house.
As she entered her room she noticed that her room was too hot at the moment, she had black and red checkered pajama pants and a oversized band t-shirt. The clothes weren't hers, they were someone else's clothes but she wore them for comfort while she slept. (Y/N) wasn't excited for tomorrow. She had to go to school and then go in for work after. She had the closing shift tomorrow which wasn't so bad. She worked at a small café and it usually wasn't bad but she did get her fair shares of rude or just plain weird customers, the girl was 18 so she knew how to deal with guys but it still made her very uncomfortable when guys wouldn't take no for an answer. She was a normal worker and student, she didn't stand out while working and she was good at what she was doing, she was a good student as well, she had A's and high B's, she was in some honor classes and had a good amount of friends that cared for her. So she couldn't help but feel bad when she thought about how much she hated going. She had made friends with most of her coworkers, except for this one chick that just hated her for some reason, but besides that everyone seemed to like her. She still hated going to work and dreaded going. She started spacing out again and before she realized she let slumber take over her body.
A loud dump was what woke the (H/C) haired girl up. The girl sat up slowly trying to fully wake up, she notice that it was now dark outside. Confused, she grabbed her phone and checked the time only to see that it was now 12:51 Am. Surprised that she had slept that long she looked at her notifications, she had a text message from her mom from around 8:46 Pm. The text was basically telling her that her mother was going to be home later then she had expected because the girls aunt had invited them out for dinner. Hearing shuffling out in the kitchen reminded her why she woke up in the first place. As everything started making sense and she was finally coming back to her senses making her heart drop. Someone else was in the house with her, someone she didn't know.A/N: heyo :D I'm really excited to start this story and I really hope you guys enjoyed the beginning. I was planning on making this chapter longer because I did have it written down but when I started typing it out I realized that if I did type out everything I wrote down for the prologue it would've been way to long so the next chapter would probably be kinda short, I'm sorry but I hope you guys did enjoy the prologue :) bye bye till next time
