Unfair (EJ x Reader)

Chapter 3

It had been almost a month since (Y/N) had her encounter with the stranger in the blue mask happened. She was finally able to leave the hospital and her parents decided that everyone would stay at their grandmas for awhile. During the time they stayed at their grandmas everything seemed to be going back to normal. Well almost everything. (Y/N) would notice she would be able to hear things from far away or if she was walking down the side walk she would be able to hear the conversation from the strangers up ahead. However sometimes she wouldn't hear anything at all. Her mother would come up to her telling her that she was yelling her name for the past minute. At first (Y/N)'s parents noticed and started getting worried for her but (Y/N) somehow managed to convince them that it was just the trauma she got from that night and that she would get better soon enough. However the girl wasn't sure why her hearing was doing that. But for now she was able to ignore it.

They had decided that they stayed at their grandparents for a while now and thought it was safe enough to go back home and while she liked staying there she did want to go home back to her own room. (Y/n) would be lying if she said she wasn't a bit worried but nonetheless was happy she was able to go back home and back to work and school as strange as that sounded. She was getting worried about her family worrying about her. Especially her older brother, Alex. They had shared a bond since they were kids and he was always the one to take care of her when her parents weren't there. He always made sure to check up on her and to buy her food every now and then. Since that night Alex has made sure to check up on her everyday before he left for work just to make sure she was okay. She appreciated that but was hoping that once returning home he would be able to relax a bit. At the moment (Y/N) was packing the clothes she had brought over to her grandparents, which wasn't much. She was interrupted by a knock on the door. She raised an eyebrow before walking over to the door and opening it. She came face to face with her brother smiling at her. "oh hey Alex, what's up? I thought you wouldn't get out of work till later today?" she said in a calm but tired tone. She hadn't slept the night before. She hasn't been able to fully sleep these past few nights. "yeah I was supposed to leave later but my manager said I was able to leave a little early since she had heard about the incident and she has been going easy on me. Anyways come with me I want to go on a walk before we leave the area. there's a pretty park near by with a lake" (Y/N) only chuckled ad nodded before going over to grab her small backpack an walking out closing the door behind her following her brother out.

Her brother wasn't wrong. It was pretty out there and the lake combined with the pretty sunset made everything so much better. "you know I have been worried about you ever since that night. I don't blame myself or anyone it was just something that shouldn't have happened." Her brother broke the silence looking up at the sky. (Y/N) looked at him for a while before looking up at the sky along with him waiting for him to speak again. "there are times where I do think what would've happened if I came home earlier and didn't decide to stay at work and help clean up but I know that would make you unhappy so I just shake it off... and you know even before this happened I started seeing weird things by that creepy ass street and that forest so I was already paranoid to being with." He turned to look at her before chuckling and ruffling her hair much to her demise, she only giggled and punched his shoulder. "anyways point is I'm happy you're okay and once we go back home I'll try to get off your back because I know it must be annoying and plus you'll be going back to school and work. But ill still try to be there and protect you." He smiled at her again and took a look at his phone for the time. Before he could speak up she decided to speak up. "thank you Alex. But really I'm sure ill be fine. I'm sure we'll be fine. In no time everything will be back to normal and we'll continue just like how we were before all of this happened. Anyways we should probably head home before mom gets worried about us." She looked at him with a wide smile before coming up with an idea. "last one to make it home owes the other food." Before her brother could protest she took off. Her brother scoffed yelling a quick "hey! That's not fair!" before chasing after her.

In the end she lost and they both made it home out of breath. Her mom told them to go get ready as they were already ready to go. They put everything in the car, said goodbye to their grandparents making sure to tell them that they'll be back to visit and made their way back home. The car ride home was fairly long and (Y/N) was able to take a small nap in the car before they actually got home. She was rudely woken up by her younger brother shaking her awake laughing as he told her a dumb joke. They decided to take everything down later tomorrow as they were tried and just wanted to sleep. They all got off and made their way inside, her parents told them all goodnight before they made their way to their room. Her older brother yawned and told both her and her brother to go to sleep as it was already late and he had work early in the morning. He headed upstairs up to his room after telling them a short goodnight. That left (Y/N) and her younger brother alone downstairs. Daniel turned to look at her before speaking up. "hey if you don't feel comfortable sleeping in your room you can come sleep in mine. I still hate you so you'd sleep on the floor." He said with a chuckle but she could tell he was tired. She knew he was joking about sleeping on the floor part and he would probably end up sleeping on the floor but she still rolled her eyes at him. Her room was the only one that was downstairs as it wasn't even a room room. It was a guests bedroom but she was fine with that when they moved in and decided to take it thinking it would come benefit her. She later found out that was a bad idea. "thanks for the offer but ill be fine. Really I'll probably sleep like a baby tonight, but you should go rest. you look like hell and I know I kind of ruined some plans with your friends. I'll pay you back later and take you out to eat. Goodnight Daniel." She turned to look at him before pushing him to the side playfully. "alright if you say so don't say I didn't offer. Also I don't look like hell if anything you look like shit. But me? I'm hot thank you very much. Goodnight loser." He said with a smirk before punching her shoulder and walking upstairs.

(Y/N) only laughed and walked over to her room. She was tired but she knew she probably wouldn't be able to sleep. She only yawned as she entered her room turning on the lights. It was just how she left it last time she was there. She closed the door behind her making sure she locked the door and changed into some extra pajamas she had laying on the floor. Her comfort clothes were thankfully okay but they were in the car and she didn't want to go out there alone. As she was about to lay on her bed she noticed a note on her bed. Confused she went over to it and reached for it. As she was reading it she froze "don't scream or make any noise or ill make sure you won't live another day" she stood there frozen her breath felt heavy and she felt as if she was about to pass out. Sadly for her she didn't see the shadow creeping up behind until it was too late and she felt two cold gloved hands go over her mouth.

A/N: hello it's me silly, sorry I didn't update yesterday but I had to go look for some clothes. I'll see if I can update again later tonight but I do have to wake up early tomorrow as I have to go to work and open :,) the chapter was kinda short so I'll try.
