In the previous chapter, Su-Ryeon had an argument with Dantae about the party at the third class and was also lectured by her aunt. Defeated, she cried in her friend's arms.
Logan went to seek her in the dining room during the mass but was stopped by Mr. Jo and waiters...
A little while later, in the navigation bridge, Su-Ryeon listens to the ship builder Thomas Andrews and the captain Edward Smith during their guided tour of the boat with Dan Tae and her aunt. A sailor approaches the captain, notifying him that there is another ice warning coming from the ship Noordam. Su-Ryeon finds it quite worrying, but the captain reassures them, explaining it's quite normal at this time of the year and that they are even speeding up, as he ordered the last boilers to be lit.
Even after the reassuring words, her mind is not put at ease. She feels strangely alert and she cannot pinpoint why. Her uneasiness is intensified when asking about the number of lifeboats, Thomas Andrews explains that there wouldn't be enough for everyone in case of a sinking.
Meanwhile, Logan had no intention to give up on seeing his first class goddess. He is heading toward the first class again. He climbs the staircase on the deck and crosses the small barrier to the second class, his friends following after him.
"She is a goddess who lost her way on this earth...no doubt about it...but she belongs to another world as us, forget her, Logan" pleads Baek Junki.
"She is closing the door...forget her" Logan ignores him completely and proceeds to climb on a platform that will grant him access to the railing leading to the first class. He peeks briefly, his eyes at floor level.
"He isn't being logical here Yoonchul...."
"Love isn't logical...it takes your whole body and soul overnight...I will always support Logan" Yoonchul answers, his tone dreamy. He looks up, helping his friend climb up. Junki also joined him, sighing. Logan looks down at them when he grabs the railing.
Yoonchul grins.
"Go see your first class goddess and sweep her off her feet" Junki also smiles after a short moment.
"I think it's crazy...but I wish you the best of luck man" Logan smiles softly.
"Thank you guys...See you later" he turns around and goes over the railing. He spots an abandoned coat on a deckchair.
"It's not really nice...but I will just borrow it" he thinks, putting it on and rearranging his hair quickly.
Su-Ryeon's group enter the gymnasium next and the attendee shows them the different apparatus. Dan Tae sits down on a rowing machine.
"It makes me remember about my old days back at Harvard" Su-Ryeon sighs, restraining her urge to roll her eyes.
"Do you want to try, Madam ?" asks the gentleman to her aunt.
"Don't be absurd...can't imagine a skill I would need less" she replies, her tone arrogant.
When they head to the exit, Su-Ryeon is boiling inside.
"Their little snide remarks...their attitude...everything reek of arrogance...how frustrating to be associated with these people" she thinks, hitting a punching ball angrily before going out.
Logan finally spots her a few meters in front of him when she gets out of the gymnasium. She is looking up at the sky, walking slowly on purpose to distance herself from the rest of the cortege.
"Su-Ryeon-ssi..." he whispers, his chest filling with warmth. He started to walk to her.
Su-Ryeon's heart skips a beat when someone grabs her hand from behind, making her spin around.
