Logan was leaning on the windows of the private promenade, admiring the night view while Su-Ryeon was changing. The air is especially chilly tonight. Thankfully they won't have to stand outside. He comes back to the sitting room when he hears her exiting her room.
Su-Ryeon is sporting a short-sleeved A-line white gown and again Logan notices that airy designed clothing really fit Su-Ryeon and flatters her figure perfectly, conferring her an almost celestial aura.
"You look really nice...but isn't that pretty cold ? maybe..." Logan is cut-mid sentence when they hear the door of the suite opening. Mr. Jo calls Su-Ryeon, and both meet shock in each other's eyes. Su-Ryeon acts first, she grabs Logan's hand and drags him behind her to get out of the room. Remembering he forgot his sketchbook, Logan tried to double back to fetch it.
"Wait...my drawing" but they didn't have time. Su-Ryeon pulled him again toward the exit.
They were almost at the end of the corridor when the door opened behind them and Mr. Jo starts to chase after them. They reach the elevator but it's about to descend. They rush inside, urging the operator to start it.
Mr. Jo stares at them, defeated when the elevator descends with Su-Ryeon smirking at him. Waving cheerfully she says. "Well...see you around, dumbshit" Logan snickered next to her.
They get out of the elevator so quickly once it arrives at the E deck that Logan bumps into an employee and Su-Ryeon almost crashes into the opposite wall. But actually trying to lose Mr. Jo made them excastic. They finish their course in the next corridor, leaning on the wall to regain their breath with difficulty after running and laughing all the way here.
"He is pretty tough for a valet...he is more like a cop to me" Logan says, still breathing heavily.
"I think he was...Dantae's father hired him, in order to keep his little boy from getting in trouble. To make sure he comes back to the hotel with his wallet intact after his jaunts to the ill-famed parts of the city" Logan grins mischievously after her words
"Kinda like what you're doing right now...right ?" he says, taking hold of her hands and bringing her closer. Su-Ryeon closes her eyes, expecting their lips to touch. But Logan gasps instead and Su-Ryeon comes back to reality. Through the porthole they see Mr. Jo, scanning his surroundings by throwing anxious glances around him.
"Bollocks" curse Logan when the man spots them. Su-Ryeon urged him to move by taking his hand again.
"Quick...we need to go" she shouts. They try some doors in the corridor but they are locked. Logan finally finds one who is open and they rush inside. The room is rather plain with a ladder in the corner and judging by the deafening sound of machinery and the temperature, they are just above the boiler area . Both look at each other, it seems to be their only way out.
Logan catches her after finishing his descent from the ladder and they take in their surroundings. The heat is barely tolerable. Several workers are busy operating the boilers. One of them scolds the couple when he notices them.
"Hold up...what are you two doing here ? you shouldn't be here " Again, Su-Ryeon grabs his hand to start running with the man calling again behind them.
"Wait...it could be dangerous !" but the couple isn't listening anymore. Su-Ryeon is having fun right now as they cross the room, her long dress floating behind her. She sees a door in front of them. They almost reach it when Logan stops Su-Ryeon, making her spin around with her long hair following the movement.
Was it the ambient heat of the engine room ? Or was it something else ? he had the impression he was burning inside and the gaze he was laying on her was blazing too. The tension between the two was sizzling as Su-Ryeon maintained his gaze.
