Chapter 5

Episode opens with Alucard & Elise returning to the cafeteria only to see that Ed isn't there

Alucard: Great, where could that boy have gotten to now?

The two then see a group of novice class student wizards around their son with him in the center

Ed: Alright, you all remember the deal. If any of you can lay even a finger on me, I'm your servant for the whole day.

Student Wizard 1: Yeah yeah, let's just get on with this!

The group decided to go for a group fire based magic attack only for Ed to turn into a speeding wolf to dodge & knocks one of the student wizards on their back

Student Wizard 3: Well that couldn't have gone any more bad.

Student Wizard 1: Sh-shut up! Ice based magic should work.

The group fired multiple icicles at Ed only for him to slice through them due to the wizards being 1st ranking ones

Ed: Ya see that could've worked if you pay more attention in your classes.

Student Wizard 6: So what's the plan hoss?

Student Wizard 1: Uh, uh... ok ok, we give up.

Ed: *sheaths his sword* Well that was-

The student Ed knocked over quickly got back up only to get a swift kick to the balls

Student Wizard 1: ._. Ok we 100% give up

Ed: Told y'all you were making a mistake.

The group grabbed their buddy & leave walking pass Alucard & Elise & the two head out to talk to their son

Alucard: Hey there.

Ed: Hi, guess you two saw all of that?

Alucard & Elise nodded making Ed scratch the back of his head mostly from embarrassment

Ed: Well they were the ones who challenged me in the first place. I told them they were making a mistake & they didn't listen.

Elise: We didn't mention anything about who's in the right or wrong. We just want to talk to you.

Ed: About what if I may ask?

Alucard: It's about Annie.

Elise: More specifically your relationship with her.

Ed: What? Me & Annie are still pretty good with each other. She just needs her space, that's all. Who am I to intrude on my significant other's space when they want it?

Alucard: Son, you're turning red. That usually means that you're lying.

Elise: Pretty sure we taught you better than that.

Ed: *sighs* Guess there's no hiding it.

Alucard: *raises an eyebrow* Hiding what?

Ed: I don't know, it just feels like this relationship is... losing its spark. Like the initial spark that brought Annie & I together is slowly dwindling away & I fear eventually it'll end.

Elise places a hand on Ed's knee

Elise: Do you want to know something son?

Alucard: Your mother & I have been in this same situation quite a few times. But we did two things. We put how you would feel into consideration & the other we talked things out. It's ok to give your lover some space but, you should also check in on them to see how they're doing ok?

Elise: Trust us, Annie most definitely still cares about & loves you.

Alucard: Now I say it's time to show her the same amount that she'll be showing.

Ed: *smiles before hugging them* Thank you... & I'll let you both know how things go.

Alucard & Elise returned the gesture before they see their son head back inside

Elise: *smiles while holding Alucard's hand* That's our big brave boy.
