Hello everyone, first off thank you for the comments on the previous update, I had a feeling on how I wanted to continue the story but I wanted to make sure I made you guys feel the way I wanted you to feel before I proceeded, I know it's probably annoying where y/n is right now but please remember she was abandoned in a house she was told to never leave, it's going to have effects on her.

Carter's POV
It's been almost two months since I've seen y/n, I really did plan to return but I became embarrassed because of how long I had already been away, I couldn't make myself face her after being away for so long, she's probably forgotten all about me anyway, I'm starting to move on too, this girl that lives near my teams condo is gorgeous, smart, and caring, she's my meant to be she just doesn't know it yet.

Y/n's POV
I can't tell you how good it felt to wake up in my own bed, to look around the room and see the same four walls that I adored with paintings for years.
I've been taking my medicine with water for last night and this morning and I can tell a slight difference, i knew taking my pills with alcohol would have the reverse effect, I guess I just didn't want to tell myself I needed to change,
When I did.

Im starting up my regular work schedule again, I know seeing my friends will one hundred percent make me feel better, my doctor said I needed to stop isolating myself so I plan to change that as well.
Before I went to bed last night my assistant called me and said that one of my coworkers just quit all the sudden and Someone would be coming in today to be interviewed by me, every coworker is giving a yes to work here by me, I want the best for my company.

I start my day off with avocado toast with orange juice, I feel myself up a water bottle for the day and begin to pick out what I'm gonna wear.

I needed to pick something professional but for my first day back I wanted to start it off easy.

      *arrived to the company*
As I'm walking through the front doors I'm practically tackled to the ground by all my coworkers,
I would like to say that I've always been professional but wanted my workers to be able to come to me for anything, I wanted to be they're friend.
I haven't felt this happy since Carter was here, every single one took the time to greet me in there own way, each one explaining how much they missed me, I couldn't help but cry.
"I promise I'm okay guys, Ive just missed every single one of you so much, thank you all so much, Lunch is one me!"
They all say thank you and let me had up to my office.
As I'm standing here I remember that I have to interview this new girl for my secretary job, this one will be a hard one to fill, this person spends the most time with me, comes with me to meetings around the world, shares hotel rooms with me, eats lunch with me.
God I hope she's nice.

"Ms.y/l/n, the person to be interviewed is here"
"Ok thank you send her in"
"Oh ma'am it's a ma-"

In walks the most beautiful man I've ever seen, he has dark emerald green eyes with a jawline that looks like it could cut me.
Holy shit
"Hi Ms.y/l/n my name is Alessandro Cruz it's nice to meet you,
I finally put together that he's holding his hand out to shake mine.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr.Cruz"
God his smile is beautiful

"Please have a seat and we can get the interview started"
Even though this man is gorgeous I need to put that aside and focus on the aspect that he actually needs to be a good worker, looks will get me nothing in my field.

"Ok Mr.Cruz please tell me what your previous job was and why you aren't employed there anymore"
"Well.."

"I'm happy to say Mr.Cruz you got the job, you will start tomorrow morning ok?"
"Thank you so much Ms.Y/l/n I won't let you down"
"I doubt you will, go get some rest before your first day"
"Yes ma'am"

Carter used to always say yes ma'am to me for everything, whether he was being a smart ass or actually being polite.
Fuck him.

I've been seeing my therapist for about a month now and it's helped me so much, she's explained to me that what Carter did wasn't my fault, I did nothing to push him away, he did that all by himself.

I've completed my first day back, I had a fantastic lunch with my friends, I don't want to return home because I know the darkness will over take again, but I won't go down without a fight.
Damn right I won't.

My phone begins to ring I look who would be calling at this time since I got off late from work.
